I was pondering this last night, if Taylor would be a great compliment to RJ and Scott (assuming RJ comes back, which I don't know). Appreciate any insight on Taylor.

For sure! Read last night about the Michigan opening. And, Dusty May had a stint at Eastern Michigan FWIW. I think most likely destinations are Ohio State/Louisville, with Michigan a distant third.

This makes a ton of sense to me.

The next tournament will tell us if Houston is that good, and/or the other B12ers are overrated.

Am I remembering wrong, didn't FAU win some games last year by playing fast? I think that has been one of their strengths the last two years: they are as good as anyone at playing a variety of tempos. In fact, I think they'd prefer it fast. EDIT: after another look, I think you are talking less about overall tempo, and just playing to the refs. Which ain't wrong.

I'd like to find a recruit that can level this up big time, not just fill in the gap and/or be serviceable. (I'm being greedy here)

We have an All-AAC 1st teamer that decides with < 10 seconds left, when we are down 6+, that he wants to drive for layups. So there's that. 😢

Now I'm reading Dusty May's name come up in Michigan tweets. They just fired their coach.

I thought for sure, slugging it out night after night with FAU, we could get at least one to swing in our favor. But they kept coming out on top. Frustrating to never get over that hump. Not once in two seasons/5 tries. I think Dusty is a top name at Ohio State Louisville, right? He'll be gone, Davis will leave with him (maybe go somewhere else, though), and I won't miss them.

Does the new guy, Taylor?, compliment Rubin/Edwards really well? Or is he going to back up/replace one of them?

FAU defense is amazing, and they are winning the rebounds.

Nothing released yet, but this gives me cautious optimism.

I see this sentiment every time a fanbase gets an upgrade in conference. Then they get there, forget that thought, and start believing the current refs are the worst they've ever seen.

I have this wild, baseless belief and hope that the winner of UNT-FAU will win the whole dang enchilada.

Is this just pessimism or do you know something we don't? I've thought about it being just stress, which would be good news, or appendicitis, which would be awful for everyone. Recovery from surgery would extend beyond the tournament.

I've thought about this. That we do such a great job containing Goldin, but Davis goes off. Maybe we need to reverse this approach?

You could apply this worry to a handful of teams, couldn't you?

We are barely entering Spring practice. I don’t think they’ve made any decisions with the incoming xfers, and they will all be given a chance to unseat last years starter.
