If we were still the Eagles I would be OK with SOW, but since we have rebranded as the Mean Green (which I think was the right move) it only adds to the confusion. Same goes for "UNT", which the Ath Dept seems to be distancing from for "North Texas" which I also prefer. If we were going with a worm graphic on the helmets, the flying worm would have been a better alternative because it is more conceptual and less Judas Priest, hit you in the face with a bird...but that isnt going to happen unless it is on a throw back. So the way I see it, our helmet options are 1) stay North Texas (I have never liked it on the lid, in Tnfact I dont know anyone who has ever liked it) 2) go with numbers only or nothing at all (super cool but I doubt we have the stones to do it) 3) write Mean Green (better than North Texas, but not much) 4) Interlocking NT (Classic and timeless) 5) something really crazy that enforces "Mean Green" like big ass evil monster eyes on either side of the helmet...which might be cool, def not traditional and very World Football League. But my money is we stay with option #1 and I continue to search for branded merchandise that doesnt suck, which I find really difficult.

He was an Ad Art Major back in the day. Got smart and got out of the biz (unlike some people). He sketched em up and sent the concepts to another buddy who has fancy computer programs. Paid him to create the pics. He has sent them to everyone he can think of in the Ath Dept...and some uni big wig at Nike. Its a combination of dedication and obsession.

Looks like for now Tech is going east, which kind of sucks for us because I see them more as our natural rival than Tulsa. West Pairings will be UTEP - UTSA, Rice - Tulane, NT - Tulsa.

Dang, Cant you just let a man do some bichin'. I dont watch enough TV for it to really make a difference, and honestly I have been too lazy to research switching back to dish. An update since our Sunday service call. Still no internet, still no new box (was supposed to arrive on Tuesday), all my recordings are gone, still cant pause or rewind or record. Called last night and got the run around again, they claim they are sending out the new box again and it will arrive on Sat...so yes, now I am considering doing the research into other providers.

U Verse sucks. Had it for probably around 6 years, it has never worked properly. Just last weekend I had a tech out because the replay stopped working and playing any recorded show skipped. Internet speed is slow and comes and goes. Randomly dies like Dish in a rainstorm, except there is no rainstorm. I would go back to dish in a heartbeat if we werent saving so much $ with the ATT bundle. ATT says there are problems with my lines, Tech says our boxes are out dated...I have been hearing the same story for years. Tech worked on the line and a new box is on the way...we will see if that fixes it. On a positive, I read a lot more these days.

I was at that K St. game. If I remember correctly, going into the game we were ranked #1 or #2 in 1AA. Big expectations for our team that year. We sat in the student section and The K St crowd did not extend the olive branch to us. It was pretty rough where we were. One thing that shocked me was the police had spotters in the press box across the stadium, when they saw someone drinking they would call it down to officers on the field who would come up and escort the drunken undergrads away. Their students were not as skilled as we were in the arts of booze smuggling. But I must say that it was the most fun I have ever had at loss. The students were going Ape S. Aggieville was bananas all night. Chunks of the goalpost would wander into a bar and the place would erupt.

Harry, What section did they settle on? Word on the street is Sec 110 is where all the cool kids hang out...seriously, we get the shade first.

Family section is actually the lower bowl beneath the wingzone. I love my seats, corner of the endzone. At less than $15 per seat a game plus 4 drinks and 4 offerings of grub it is the best deal in town. For those considering, you can get on a 3 - 4 month payment plan, break it up and become part of the family.
