  1. Actually, no. Pulling back the curtain to reveal the wizzard... Its the "craft" arm of Coors. All the bigs are trying to get a chunk of the craft market by inventing micros. They all have them...Shock Top, Blue Moon, etc. You really think that little brewery in Colorado could afford national ad campaigns. The crazy part is that since Coors and Miller joined up, all of the Coors products that you are drinking (including Blue Moon) are being brewed at the Miller plant in FW. The one exception is the Banquet Beer, that is still brewed in Golden.
  2. Hate to tell you...but Blue Moon is a Big 3 product. Pretty sure its now brewed in the Fort since the Big 3 became the Big 2.
  3. Training starts at Frosh Camp. Ive been suggesting EPL style songs for a decade...I think I have finally amassed enough like minded jack asses around me, so dont be surprised if you star to hear some singing from the corner of the endzone next season.
  4. We should make our turf green. Problem Solved.
  5. Or....Fort Worth & Gainsville. Crazy I know. I have been to every one of the caravans in the Fort, have my Apogee mini and my CUSA T to prove it. I agree with 817, I am not sure how they promote it to the gen pop. Seems like I have to do the promoting myself to alumni that have no idea its coming. But I assume the same efforts here in FW were made for the other stops, that are reported to have better turnout. I will say this, the best turnout I have ever seen for an NT in FW event was a summer, incoming freshman...get fired up dinner at Joe T's. Tons of HS grads and their parents were in attendance. This was probably 10 years ago and the place was packed......I dont think they did it again after that. Another thing to consider is that we have a huge alumni population in the North Fort. I would bet much more than those of us inside the loop. So, as much as it kills me, because my universe exists almost entirely inside the loop with the exception of NT Football and vacations...I would suggest moving the Ft Worth event to somewhere up along 1-35, between Downtown and Keller. Then you get your die hards who show up to everything and can also draw from Keller, Mid Cities, Saganaw...etc etc. Fort Worth is a little different. There is an inclusive "Cool, In Crowd" vibe associated with TCU. To the Frogs credit, they did a great job building this. But, as someone that might know a little bit about advertising & marketing campaigns...to write off the Fort would be a mistake. Recognize your audience and play to your strengths.
  6. Man I was thinking the same thing, cant believe it holds that many folks. They put a little lipstick on it a few years ago, but it still has that old school, concrete WPA vibe, and I love it. Since we are talking HS venues, on a side note for the FW denizens, next year while TCU gets new B Ball digs, the froggies will be playing at Wilkerson-Grines.
  7. The real beauty of the Grey Shirt is they can...in theory, bang out a 4 year degree and a masters and only have to pay for that 1st semester out of pocket. Thats pretty awesome.
  8. Amigos...well said. Anyone familiar with Nelson era Chops will see a bunch of us on gameday. Lucky Shirt...check Funny Hat?...perhaps
  9. No its his goal against Argentina. Full sprint, under a 50+ yard long ball, like a WR running a post. Over his shoulder, First touch kills the ball, second touch cuts it left, 3rd touch goal. Its the 1st touch that is so freaking unbelievable.
  10. Rick, I like the idea, I have not decided if I am going to spend the night in Dallas or here in the Fort on NYE. But my main concern is getting to the stadium early. I want to get in a solid 2 hrs tailgating before heading into the game. I should have a better idea of where I will be next week...Figure out step one then move on to step two.
  11. Been a Gooner since the mid 90's when Bergkamp was on the team. He is one of, if not the best striker in the history of the club and while there is a virtual video library of his Arsenal goals, this one may be his greatest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtXo-8tThAg&feature=player_embedded
  12. I would take AF v Navy over HOD v Syracuse all day long. Crowd would be a lot bigger at the AF. Plus I could walk home if necessary...which given my near invisible state at past bowl games is a high probability.
  13. Not sure if thats right...If you count UTSA we (NT) alone went 3-4.
  14. FYI, They were checking boots at homecoming, so I hear its best to put it in your britches. Or big ol coat should fix everything.
  15. I think there might be some legs to the sweater out idea. I'm going hunting for a sweet green Cosby.
  16. Anyone notice the similarity of the new black unis to the unis 3XL designed last summer? black w green outline on the numbers, green sleeves, green belt. Add a black facemask and black shoes and its almost identical. So, coincidence or did 3XL and GMG influence the powers that be? This post has been promoted to an article
