I guess you did not see the two separate articles from Brett Vito that indicated that UNT's preference was 1) P5 opponent, 2) New Orleans bowl?  If we weren't offered a P5 opponent, what exactly do you suggest?

I expect our AD or Conference bust the friggin door down and insist that our championship participants be reward with the best opponent possible rather than settling for scraps from the P5 table.

  2. It appears that the decision was made to go to the NO Bowl before we ever played FAU in the Championship game.  My question is, why could we not secure a P5 opponent when it appears one or some of our conference mates will get that opportunity. If so, that really pisses me off, as I have stated in another thread. Can someone address this scenario?

What everyone is missing is I believe its a financial decision.   If we play early it does not cost the school any extra money.  The kids will still be on campus.  If we play later, they will have to bring the players, managers, equipment managers, staff, etc. and they have to house, feed at an added expense.

I do not think its a player decision, its an AD decision.  $$$$$

If you really want a different bowl game, Donate more to the program and our program can afford better things.

...and Wren and Seth get bonuses for winning the Bowl game.

  4. Benford destroyed my interest in NT BB and I haven't been to a game in three years. Hard to get back in the habit and I admit football has my undivided attention right now. I hope for the best for our BB team(s) and coaches McCasland and Mitchell. There's nothing I'd like more than to see us win again in and I think we will. However, my current work schedule prevents me from going to weekday games, but once football is over and the weekend is cleared out, I'll make a few Saturday games, wife permitting!

Getting to ten wins will help us in recruiting. It's a milestone number.  If you want to see recruiting take a big jump, get us to ten wins.

If we can beat FAU then we'll probably end up in the Indy bowl playing a P5.  If we don't then we'll have no chance to play a p5.

So if we lose to FAU then I am perfectly fine with going to a great city and getting a tenth win.

If we beat FAU then I want a shot at a P5.

    Couldn't agree more.

Grow up.  CUSA does not have a tie-in to the HOD this season, they traded it for the Armed Forces Bowl.

A fourth game against Army in two years doesn't do anything for us.  The Team feels a DFW bowl doesn't do anything for them.

Let's get behind our team and start booking some hotels.

Relax dude. All intended tongue in cheek.  Not advocating the AFB. Would just like to see us have an opportunity for a P5, thats all. If its Troy and the NOB, so be it.
