Longhorns look like they're gonna hold on now.

Though I occassionally might root for them to upset someone because it will effect the rankings in a favor I'd like - that's basically how I feel. SMU might have tried to keep our athletics down, but UT tried to keep our school down(granted they tried to keep almost every public college down because they wanted to stay the only University) back in our first 30-40 years. They made it very hard for us to grow and survive, and quite honestly we could've died. Just read The History of North Texas.

Obviously that was my point. There have been great X's and O's coaches who couldn't recruit. Even Bill Walsh really - he left for the NFL before it was apparent he wasn't a recruiter - and then when he went back to Stanford in the 90's he only lasted until his own players were the majority of the team and they were talent deficient. Perhaps Weiss is one of those.

Can Weiss recruit?

They've looked great in the regular season before more than once - only to get beaten in the Big XII title game or the Bowl games.

Nothing new...I think I've even mentioned UW's stadium before in those "Fouts sucks" threads.

Probably FAU to play Troy for the league title.

This is maybe the best weekend in the history of the conference football wise with both this and Troy's win.

Michigan isn't a bad offensive team. They're a TERRIBLE defensive team. But I think the Wolverines will win handily.

Even with the Big 10 being down this year - FAU winning this would be a major landmatk victory. Let's go Owls!

Was it some sort of informal practice? I always thought "real" practice started mid October? Quite possibly a rule was changed I didn't hear about tho....

Obviously I haven't been in years...they were still playing on the field off of Bonnie Brae where intramurals are back when I was in school. I went to my fair share of games('96-01) back in the day you'd have maybe 100-150 fans or so at games. From what I've heard support has increased quite a bit since.

Teams announce tickets sold. Maybe there are 10K season ticket holders that never attend games.

South Florida that I know of. They have 44K students and though they play at Raymond James Stadium - the upper deck is closed. I believe the lower deck seats about 40K.
