We struggled down the stretch of Mac's first two years. Year two we started out like 15-1 before limping to the end.

WKU wins CUSA.

The geography of the league is such that I wouldn't even how there the center would be. Tennessee?

I would go with Purdue since we aren't in their way this year.
I wouldn't say that - quite a few teams have been able to trip them up in recent years. :)

All kidding aside, I do think Houston has a decent shot to win the whole thing, but the betting favorite HAS to be Connecticut. Even though the Cougars were ranked #1, the Huskies have been the best team all season, bar none. Plus they're defending champs. I'm not saying they're unbeatable, and given I'm sure everyone will have them in their brackets I may go for someone else given crazy stuff happens every year, but when they're on no one can beat them.

Most are listing FAU as a lock already--I assume UAB blows out Temple tomorrow.
I think most assumed they were gonna get blown out the last three games!

Iowa State wasn't challenged. I woulda thought Houston woulda put up a bigger fight than that.
I believe that's more or less how Cougar King gloated earlier.

Yikes, that last possession.

I cannot believe Temple right now. It's gonna be infuriating if they win the conference tournament and are stuck with a terrible seed. FAU needs to come back or UAB needs to beat them tomorrow.

Temple with a 7-0 run because of a lame flagrant on FAU. I have the inkling Temple is gonna take this. Feels just like their last two games.

Duquesne advances to the A-10 Final. They haven't been to the NCAA Tournament wince 1977, so I hope they win tomorrow.

Why is the game delayed?
Because the first game went over by like 30 minutes.

Well, if FAU wins the second game it'll be a rematch of last year's CUSA title.

This has been a crazy game. Rough play...big runs (some almost solely at the free throw line)...technical fouls...you name it

If I recall, Mac had also scuffled down the stretch his one season at ASU. Some were concerned that was starting to be a trendline with his teams.

USF is serious trouble at the half.

They're automatically giving preference to teams in the Power Leagues (something the NIT hasn't done since the NCAA took it over). Twelve spots are gonna be taken over by those leagues before any other schools are selected.

The NCAA revised the NIT selection process this past October. This article may clarify what opportunities we may or may not have.
Yeah, we don't have much of a chance with the priority on taking power league schools.

For the last 20 years or so Vermont has consistently been good in their league. I love when they have TV home games. Smaller gym, but always lit.

Wishful thinking, but with Temple beating Charlotte, SMU getting smoked in the first round, and Memphis getting smoked in the first round, does that open up anything for us, or is it body of the season that plays a bigger role?
Body of work

As I semi-predicted - JJ and Texas Southern are in the SWAC Title game. Not sure if I'd predict them to win tomorrow because Grambling won the regular season, but they split with them, so maybe.
-
Sometimes those old basketball schools just have winning in their DNA even in bad years. WSU was turning it around at the end of the year and so has Temple.
-
This was a tougher league overall than CUSA, as underrated as CUSA has been the last few seasons.

Yeah, I actually wouldn't be stunned if FAU were left out to be honest. Quad 4 losses are brutal.
