  1. Despite all of the magnificent things he's done here, I would be the loudest one calling for RV to be fired if he brought in Deion Sanders as our Head FB Coach.
  2. Mr. Mosley, you probably have a heftier say on the impending decision than any of us here do. If you feel this way about coach Dodge, be sure to voice your opinion to Rick V. All he is hearing from the fan base, and for good reason, is how coach Dodge is not getting it done. As for the bolded statement above, I agree that the coaching STAFF appears to be corrected, however, we're still seeing some goofy head coaching decisions by coach Dodge himself. I don't profess to be a football coach, but going back to last week, after a timeout (due to injury I think) late in the game to draw up a long pass play, with a chance to take our first lead, Baine completes a big pass. However, shouldn't they expect that play to work and call another play during the same timeout, that way they are ready and can hurry up? Instead, another timeout was taken to draw up the next play. We went backwards for the remainder of that drive. How 'bout the defense holding them in the closing seconds only to have precious seconds wasted off of the clock because timeouts were not taken at the right time? Unless the offensive or defensive players see something they don't like, timeouts are head coach decisions... Let's not go back to the 2 timeout disaster in last years Army game.
  3. I don't think he had a hard time at all. Their best players right now are Fran recruits (Von Miller & Jerrod Johnson among others), and a vast majority of their 2008 class were committed long before Fran left College Station. He could work wonders here. Unless Dodge works a wonder for himself.
  4. If the Rangers jump to a 2-0 series lead, this thing ends game 6. Rangers (I fully expect the Rangers to beat Hughes twice) If the Rangers split the first two at home, it goes to game 7. Rangers (Lee wins both of his starts) If the Rangers drop both this weekend, then they'll lose in 5. Yankees
  5. 1. Mean Green by far. 2. Texas Longhorns 2a. Any Texas team playing Oklahoma, LSU, or any other neighboring big boy. If it's not a Texas team, then I don't really care (Tech is low on the bar though) 3. Any of the Belt teams 4. Anyone playing against Oklahoma 4a. Anyone playing against SMU(or really any other school that we could be competing with for recruits)
  6. Orr may be SBC Def. POY before he graduates. This guy is good, and I'm glad we have him here.
  7. I'm absolutely interested in a Mini Plan and will contact the AD to inquire about the packages. If there's a way I can bundle up several games early in the season, I would probably buy in. With a little one on the way in Dec., I don't think there's going to be time for games past the semester break.
  8. What? Do they close I-95, I-78, I-81, I-40, and I-30, where you are for games other than UTA? You're NOT excused. just having some fun with you KRAM1
  9. Totally agree. Leavitt coming here almost certainly means Canales being retained. For me: 1. Dodge wins out, including the Papa Johns (or whatever other) bowl. 2. Dennis Franchione (hopefully would lure his son up from Blinn as well) 2a. Jim Leavitt After that, there's a large drop-off to the next rung of coaches.
  10. Have you seen Dog the Bounty Hunter? Apparently all Hawaii'ans are strung out on Meth, so I doubt there is much relaxation.
  11. This is good stuff. They'll probably be out there more than anyone else at the rate our injuries are occurring.
  12. Good get for SMU. Sorry, but I can't pat SMU on the back too much on the GMG.com board. Let the Ponyfans do that... So, I'm going to hijack this thread and make it about Mean Green basketball. With our class ace Jordan Williams down at Kimball now, I'm hoping he gets into Jarion Henry's ear and convinces him to come up for a visit. Are we not going after Keaton Miles? I haven't heard anything about him around here. And finally, with the addition of C. Jones to go along with Trey Norris, are we still going after Trey Davis?
  13. Huh? I mean seriously. Does it matter? If her jaw is broken, then her jaw is broken. That takes a pretty good slug... your jaw is bone! Maybe LaceDarius should have excercised your kind of show of force, then restraint. Instead, he put his fist through her jaw. The dude should be put away. Normal guys like you or I would...
  14. I actually like having you around. I know alot of people rag on you, but it's nice to see what a knowledgable SMU fan thinks of our class. I hope you stick around. You seem really connected to the local AAU circuit, so I hope to hear alot more from you in the coming month. We've got alot more targets & schollies!
  15. To do PBP? Who? I know Josh was the source of some e-brake moments over the years, and was considered by many to be annoying, but I grew accustomed to him and I think I'll miss him. It depends on who replaces him I guess... BALLGAME!
  16. Any students out there seen Edwards at practice at all? How does he look? Is he gelling with the rest of the guys? I thought Edwards was a face-to-the-basket kind of player and he was being turned into a back-to-the-basket player at Nebraska and he didn't like that. I can't imagine we'll see alot of post play from Edwards, unless he recently changed his mind. Not to say he'll never play back-to-the-basket, but he'll probably be on the wings alot looking for lanes, shots or a slashing TT/Josh/Dom.
  17. Happy Birthday FFR! Hey, would you be interested in buying some wind turbines for your frontyard? I know some people who could get you a pretty sweet deal.
  18. ?? Riley, Tune, Thompson < Chase Baine? Johnson, Leppo < Aaron Fortenberry? DaWaylon Cook < John Shorter? Stradford, Bynes < Willie Taylor, Brelan Chancellor? I kinda think he's onto something... Completely ignoring the injuries is plain dumb. I totally agree that with a fully healthy team, we're 3-0 in conference play right now. That said, Dodge is now up against the wall. At 1-5, his chances of reaching 6-7 wins are shrinking quickly. He needs to make lemonade.
