  1. sayonara Washington & Kassel. Craig was my boy before he graduated and I adopted Orr. And as most of you know, you just can't choose between your own kids.
  2. Well, we do know the names of the starting secondary:
  3. Said his thumb "locked up" on him for a while. It was a cramp. Trainers worked it out and he's as good as new. This. This is puzzling. I guess Mac thinks McNulty gives him a better chance to win? Or, did he know Thompson would be OK and decided to inject a running threat (we know lil' Mac can run) for a series or two until Thompson got back in?
  4. Please Derek, supplant Vizza in all categories.
  5. Fouts Field is the nicest track & field venue in all of the NCAA. Don't hate because your T&F field digs aren't as nice as ours.
  6. Proud to stand alongside LongJim as kings of the morons. We get first dibs at the crow buffet line. The wings aren't that bad, but Dallas Green is going to be stuck with the innards. Again, thanks to ColoradoEagle for putting this together!
  7. He let the first "North Texas State" slide, but was quick to rebuke Baldinger the 2nd time. Didn't happen again. You could tell Followill was excited that his Alma Mater was doing well. Baldinger sounded enthusiastic about what he was saying regarding our defense. I don't think he was 'just saying that'.
  8. Where is "DawggyStyle" or "GeorgiaFanInTexas"? We need to get some smack-talking going... This is all too nice.
  9. Joe Greene was dubbed "Big Joe" by local sportswriters while playing here. He didn't become "Mean Joe" until he got to PIT. We're very proud of him.
  10. I've gotta say, this was probably the worst game I've ever seen out of Y'Barbo. Gotta cut those pre-snap penalties. He was going to be the focus of my rant if we were to have lost by less than 4. Glad he got it in gear. Hopefully that was his 'bad game' for the year and that mean S.O.B. version returns for our GA matchup.
  11. Wait... just making sure: The game is going to be on Ch. 21?
  12. Heckuva game. Now, lets see some consistency at this level of play!
  13. Hmmm. Thank you for this analysis Rly. It sounds like the weakness of your defense plays right into the strength of our offense: Brelan Chancellor. I think you'll be surprised at our defense. Did you know we lead the nation in takeaways? Still, Gurley looks good and will certainly get his as we've given up some big running plays this year with missed assignments/poor tackling.
  14. My, how the mighty have fallen. It was only a few years ago USF was #2 in the AP poll. Think Jim Leavitt is somewhere laughing his keister off? That FAU team is horrible. USF just lost any decent recruit they were in on with that result.
  15. I'll be so disappointed if UNT does not have kid-centered festivities for the Halloween game. In all seriousness, this game could be the best game for Denton-area residents to come out with their kids (when they would otherwise never bother to show up) because it could be a great place for trick-or-treating. Come for the free candy, stay for the game!
  16. Lol. No offense. Box scores can sometimes be deceiving. I was commenting that if your dawgs are preparing for a QB running the read-option or something, they would be wasting their time... which would be good for UNT! On that note... Pay no mind to WR #3. He's a decent punt returner, sure. But at WR, if he catches a ball, all your guys have to do is come up and hit him (don't even bother wrapping up) and he'll go down easy. The guy you need to worry about is WR #11 Darius Terrell, who transferred to us from Texas. He was a Parade HS All-American! That's who you should worry about.
  17. Yes, but that ghost still has Trey Watts lining up in the backfield. Think about UNT being dangerous with Lance Dunbar at RB. No one feared us, because we were terrible. But Lance still killed some teams.
  18. Uh, yeah... ... our QB is the very definition of 'dual-threat QB'. Hope your guys are preparing for his wheels. Just focus on that, and not WR #3.
  19. Sorry Lonnie, I know you are down on Tulsa, but as long as Watts is back there, they're dangerous. What the Mean Green have to hope for is that Tulsa is out of the bowl picture by that last game. Tulsa needs to get kicked around by everyone. If that happens, their will is going to be sapped and we can win up there. If they have bowl eligibility or seeding to play for, I'm still predicting an 'L' up there. Rank by difficulty of remaining games: (1) Georgia - gotta pay bills, right? (2) Rice - Win this game, and I'll be on cloud 9. (3) Middle Tennessee - This is going to be a great game. So glad it's at home. (4) Tulsa - Gotta root for them to lose and lose often so they aren't playing as hard when we get up there. (5) UTSA - I must admit, they're looking better than expected. Good news is, they should have a conference win or two before coming in here, so if Hell freezes over, we still wont be their first conference win. (6) Tulane - The final score of this game will set the tone for the rest of the year. Win big, and I'll be getting bowl trip options lined up. (7/8) Southern Miss/UTEP - Both of these are looking winnable. (9) LA Tech - This game is looking VERY winnable. This team looks totally lost.
  20. Iowa for sure. I would also put Wisconsin up there... really, any Big10/11/12 team. I think he's here to stay unless he does with UNT what Sumlin did with Houston.
  21. Ohio is a better team than Idaho, and judging by their win against a top-3 CUSA team (Marshall), they may also be better than Ball. That loss is starting to look better.
  22. What a week! Derek played the best game of his career. Defense bowed up and busted some heads. Nice win! Now, reality sets back in as UNT travels to Athens, GA to collect their paycheck. Georgia is going to strike quickly. The Mean Green will try to run and gobble clock. If the running game is on, UNT could keep the game low-scoring and close early. If the run game isn't working... oh boy. UNT: 17 Bulldogs: 35 However, I do love the taste of crow when prepared by master chef McCarney.
  23. You were very accurate. Prediction thread will be up in 2 minutes. I expect another accurate post. Nice job VS last years' MAC champs! You're right. You guys look like you're taking steps in the right direction. Best of luck over the remainder of the season.
  24. The only way we should give McCarney an extension during the season would be if he #hit6 including a win @ Georgia... Otherwise, the extension can wait.
  25. Have you seen our record over the past 8 seasons? Let's #hit6 first.
