  1. I'll hold my reservation until after the Rice game. Until then, I'll cheer our team on for a victory in every game, like I always do. If he wins out and wins a conference championship, he'll be guilty of the very thing we've begged him to accomplish. Even then, I'm sure you'll still have reasons for him to be fired. Litrell has earned the right finish the season before he's judged.
  2. To hell with this train of thought. There's only one thing we can do. Keep pulling for this team and this program to win out and win a conference title. I'm tired of this "I hope we lose so Seth's gone" mentality. I get it that he's struggled in big games but let the hand play out and let the chips fall where they may. We'll settle up when the season's over. GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  3. I'm not sure this is as bad of a matchup as stated. Yes, they throw the ball well and our secondary can give up big chunks. But, I don't think they've seen a run game like ours (when we're clicking). I'm hoping last week was an anomaly and we get back on track running the ball this weekend. IF (big if) we can get the ground game going, we'll have a solid chance at winning this game.
  4. I think 10 points is too many but we'll see. Two major concerns are (1) they pass the ball well and (2) how do we respond and bounce back (or not) after a very tough loss.
  5. I was screaming for us to call a timeout just before they snapped the ball on the game winning play. We were in disarray and needed to regroup. One tackle inbounds and the game was over.
  6. I don't even know how to respond this. Aune had the game won for us and we couldn't stop them when it mattered most. And 22 yards rushing yet we had the lead with 1:30 minutes left. This one was not on Aune.
  7. 6pm should be about when the game ends. I think this is just hyping us up to get ready for that W!
  8. Like it or not, this game is important, for many of reasons. Go Mean Green! ... "arguably the biggest game of the year. The Roadrunners face its rival, North Texas" https://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/article/utsa-football-north-texas-17522309.php
  9. Keep it up with the black headgear!!!!
  10. Bean is a hell of an athlete than can run like a deer but could also miss a wide open receiver by a mile. Aune can be inaccurate at times as well but is an overall better pocket passer.
  11. Competitive football games come down to a handful of plays. We had three critical turnovers that cost us 21 points. Good teams don't make consequential mistakes like that. This team probably isn't as far off as many would suggest but we're nowhere good enough to make up for those kinds of mistakes. It was also very frustrating to watch our defense actually get off of the field on third down only for our offense to not come through.
  12. Ladies and Gents, we're a third of the way through the season and things aren't good. The moral of this story is that our defense flat out sucks. At our current clip, I anticipate our defense ranking right along the lines of our 2020 D, which was basically the worst in the nation. It is impossible to win games when you give up this many yards, can't stop opposing teams on third or fourth down, we can't convert on third and fourth down, and we only keep the ball for as little as we do. I know tempo is our thing on offense but I would implore the coaching staff to milk the clock on every down in an attempt to keep our defense on the sidelines. As I previously stated, our defense is minuscule at best and cannot tackle. Our two wins so far we against terrible competition (UTEP is not good at all and TSU is worse). I don't anticipate things changing in the coming weeks. I hope I am wrong but I'm not holding my breath. Buckle up guys. It's going to be long season I'm afraid.
  13. Our defense has taken a major step backwards this season. This unit will end up performing like 2020's defense by the end of the year. We are severally undersized and can't tackle. When UNLV's QB and RB dwarf our LBs and DBs, that's a bad sign.
  14. Let them have all of the fame and attention (for now). Then it'll be sweeter when we whoop them at their place and then everyone will be looking at us. I can't tell you how many comments I got last year when we beat them for the simple fact that they were undefeated and ranked. Their exposure only increases our exposure.
  15. I know what MF'er will be wearing shorts on game day!
  16. Yes, please take it down. I’m tired of seeing Jimbo’s face. Guaranteed that our players look at this page and are seeing it to. Doesn’t help at all.
  17. https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/win-totals/ Vegas has us at 6.5 wins on the season. I’ll take the over all day. Phil Bennett in year two, young / improved talent coming back, a stable of horses at RB under the direction P. Cobbs, healthy / improved WR corp, and a potential upgrade at QB. Sign me up!
  18. So many people were hating on Littrell for not landing big recruits early in recruiting and on (traditional)signing day. But as we all know, these are different times and they call for new ways of doing things. I think Littrell’s patience is paying off. He knew kids would go through spring ball only to find themselves down the depth chart and wanting to move on. Now with scholarships still open, we’re waiting with open arms for kids wanting a fresh start and looking to be on top of the depth chart. I hope this strategy continues to pay dividends and we can continue to land some upgraded talent.
  19. Aaron Scott could be a dangerous #3. One thing that I wished we did a better job of this season was attack the rim. If Scott is paired vs. a true guard, he could do just that if our opponent has to tie up their big men vs. Ousmane and Martinez. And he's athletic enough to defend a guard on the defensive end. His jump shot was lacking this season but he could improve there. But I certainly don't mind the idea of this line up. Even so, I would still like for us to find a slasher that can make their way to the bucket.
  20. We went 29 for 58 from the free throw line on this road trip. That’ll get us beat every game from here on out. We’re good but we cannot make up that many points vs quality opponents. Especially when we limit possessions the way we do.
