Willie Fritz is 62. That didn't seem too old for Georgia Tech to come calling. If they hadn't announced it early and ticked him off he probably would be coaching there next season. Good coaches can coach into their late 60s and early 70s and remain successful.

This. Basically, since there was no possible post season opportunities because of the transition, many of the stud players redshirted. -

Sam Houston was ineligible for the title. Here are the other teams that SFA had to compete against to win that title: Abilene Christian Southern Utah Utah Tech Tarleton ...That's it. -
Prime will be successful at Colorado for one very simple reason: He knows how to win. He knows what it takes. He will not settle for less. And, he is smart enough to know that he can't do it all himself, so he brings in legit assistants and holds everybody accountable.

Keeler is a "CEO" coach, much like Saban, Dabo, Fritz and other successful coaches. It is my understanding that he hires good coordinators and lets them do their jobs. He has been successful everywhere he has been.

Lurker here that finally added an account. I have to say that with regard to this coaching (and AD) search, the UNT administration has kept a very tight reign on leaks of any relevant information. That bodes well for these searches.
