  1. I hear you, depends on where the tear is and the severity, of which we are not privy to. These injuries are difficult to treat as they almost always strains from untreated biomechanical faults. Hence the tissue needs to heal but you also need to fix what set up the injury in the first place. When Jones made a brief appearance a few games ago he almost immediately aggregated it when he played full speed.
  2. Seems that way, which is unfortunate. Makes me wonder about our sports medicine/athletic training department and what's going on with their healing.
  3. To play devil's advocate I don't believe anyone's "fandom" is being challenged as much as their "support" either in person or financial. Which is not the same as following a team. This point was made many times so we should stop conflating said fandom and support. I've said as much before and received the same reaction. I'm not taking any sides but the point is well taken when referenced correctly - to keyboard coaches that know it all but do not financial support or attend in person. If you don't fit that then this is not about you.
  4. If this comes to fruition and Chandler bounces to play for the small wild felines of san marcos then I think we dodge a bullet. We don't need that type of character around here. Let's see if he is a man of his word.
  5. Safe to say they will be looking for blood 3/3 at our house. ECU Coach post game bloody knuckles
  6. Wow! Caught them sleeping. Great win!
  7. What in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is going on here?!?
  8. Thoughts on our new Offensive Line coach? Have not seen anyone post about this. "Left with joins the staff after a one-year stint at Oregon DENTON, Texas – UNT head football coach Eric Morris has announced the hiring of Cutter Leftwich as its new Offensive Line Coach. Leftwich comes to Denton following one season at Oregon in 2023 where he served as assistant offensive line coach. The 2023 Oregon offensive line was named as a finalist for the prestigious Joe Moore Award given annually to the nation's top unit. Oregon's offensive line was dominant in 2023 leading the nation with just five sacks allowed, four fewer than any other FBS team. The Ducks allowed multiple sacks just once in 13 games this season while not allowing any sacks in nine games, including six of the last seven. Tied for fourth in the FBS with just 42 tackles for loss allowed, Oregon ranks second in the nation in scoring (44.2 ppg), total offense (526.6 ypg) and passing offense (342.8 ypg), while ranking third in yards per rush (5.86). Oregon is the top-graded pass blocking team in the nation by Pro Football Focus at 91.3, checking in as the only team above 90.0. The Ducks are also the nation's No. 2 graded rushing team by PFF at 95.0. Leftwich also spent one season each on staff at UCLA (2022) and UTSA (2021). A native of El Paso, he played collegiately at McNeese State from 2018-19 where he started 20 games at center. He is the son of former UNT assistant coach Spencer Leftwich, who had two stints on the Mean Green staff from 1994-02 and 2007-09. Leftwich earned his degree from McNeese in December 2020. 9. I appreciate you sharing that. We all know it ain't easy being green. But we can't help that we bleed it. All of our time and financial contributions matter, no matter how large or small. And we should all have a voice, especially with warranted criticism. I'm not here to shame, guilt, or coerce people into donating to the school or team. But if someone is routinely negative while admittedly not supporting the team that doesn't sit well with me. When will we get mad enough to go beyond the keyboards? That is my question.
  10. No, I don't care about internet points. The posters I am talking about are legit haters, like by definition. I love that you support the team. That's really all I'm asking from said haters. It is that simple. But if someone is here sharing warranted criticism while not literally supporting the team it gets real old, real fast. Especially for people who are financially contributing, and no matter how much or little.
  11. Will someone from the "I wont support the team until they are good" crowd explain what the long game is? Like is it just hope and prayer? Because it seems it's just b*tching on here.
  12. I don't need the background or the pissing contest. How about we band together and get sh*t done? Instead of scoring points on the internet.
  13. I know I'll get eyes rolls and whatever from the haters that are more concerned with being right about their nihilistic and self deprecative predictions than supporting the team they are apparently fans of.
  14. What a ridiculous notion. Wouldn't that make you a fair weather fan? Sounds like people think they can post here and that will change things. What a pipe dream. Same thing with not purchasing apparel, or going to games, etc. The lack of support while expecting better is absurd.
  15. Some here are more interesting in scoring internet points with snarky digs at other posters while armchair coaching. All while admittedly not financially supporting the team. It begs the question of whether or not they are fans or just haters.
  16. Watch out now. That could get you and this thread deleted!
  17. I find team jersey theft to be incredibly perplexing. Is it done out of spite, for resale value (doubtful), or because of some other reason? Any thoughts on how or why this happens?
  18. "see and tell the truth and hold those making huge salaries accountable for failure by not being timid or afraid to speak out and tell it like it is." Completely agree, we just need the voices of disapproval to also go beyond the forum walls. Thank for your tried and true support of all things UNT. Respect.
  19. And funny enough people here are suggesting we go whole hog in on transfers while we sorely lack an large NIL collective and donors in general. And some of those people admittedly do not even donate to UNT! How would we keep up?
  20. I appreciate you for that. It astonishing that some of our fans believe redacting financial support as a form of punishment to the school/team for poor performance will result in better....anything. And I too understand we do not all have the same resources so if funds are not available to donate then keep a positive attitude. And if all that fails - tell somebody/do something. Otherwise in an effort maintain mental health they should find another hobby, or at least take a break. (For those who care - I am an alumni of almost 20 years. And have long been on this board prior to ever creating an account and posting.)
