  1. Man I love your list. I really can't argue with any of it. I was hoping you would have graded Christian that is all I had.
  2. I agree that a foul when not impacting the play on the court should be averted especially at the very end of a close game. Had they called the foul in Allen at that critical point it would have taken away one of the seasons best plays which in turn hurts the sport.
  3. I got the same one. I think they are trying to break an attendance record.
  4. I am pleased with this signing however the lack of defensive linemen is concerning to say the least.
  5. I received a lot of criticism last night due to my pointing out that ECU would file a grievance with the AAC offices on the call. Looks like they have already admitted they were wrong.
  6. Can someone post the eight spot on ESPN?
  7. Great finish but honestly Allen pushed off. Their coach was immediately on the refs after the game and I worry the conference may give this back to ECU due to a formal grievance being filed.
  8. Why is the NCAA doing this? Don't they understand that they are in essence killing the sport we all adore?
  9. I agree with you @Andrew, if we defeat Memphis I think we are deserving of a ticket barring some inexplicable meltdown in the remainder of the season and tourney.
  10. DENTON, Texas – The UNT women's basketball team (13-3, 3-1 AAC) is set to make the short trip to Dallas to take on SMU Wednesday night at 7 p.m. CT in Moody Coliseum. The Mean Green have won three consecutive conference games to move them into a tie for third place in the AAC. Their last time out, they overcame an 18-point deficit in the second half to top Wichita State, 72-68. It was the second-largest deficit faced this season and the program’s largest comeback win since 2018. DesiRay Kernal, Tommisha Lampkin and Dyani Robinson led the comeback as they combined to score 30 points in the fourth quarter, while Wichita State was held to 15 points as a team. Kernal finished with 21 points and nine rebounds in the win, leading to her fourth weekly conference honor of the season. In order to extend its winning streak, North Texas will have to defeat SMU in Moody Coliseum, something it has not done in its last 17 attempts, dating back to 1989. SMU Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with John Liddle and Brian Burton on the call. The game can also be heard on the Varsity Sports Network app with Zac Babb and Michelle Brooks. WHAT 2 WATCH 4 • North Texas hits the road to start a two-game road trip beginning with SMU on Wednesday night. • The Mean Green sit in third place in the AAC at 3-1 only behind Charlotte and UAB who each have a 4-1 mark in conference play. • DesiRay Kernal earned her fourth weekly conference honor of the season as she was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Jan. 15. She was named to the list for her performance against Wichita State that included 21 points and nine rebounds. • The Mean Green are looking to win in a place they have struggled at for decades. The last time they won at SMU was in 1989. SERIES HISTORY • SMU is the most-played opponent in program history with Wednesday’s contest being the 53rd meeting of the series. • UNT trails in the all-time series, 19-33. • The teams have met at least one time in every season since 1976, except for in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. • UNT is 5-22 in away games against SMU. • This will be the first meeting as conference foes in the series history. LAMPKIN AS OF LATE • Tommisha Lampkin has been a dominant force in the paint this season, but even more so since the start of AAC play. • She has scored 16 or more points in four of her last five games, with three of those coming against conference opponents. • While her ability to score is impressive, her efficiency is what makes her stand out. She is shooting a career high 66.4% that ranks No. 4 in the country among individual players. • Lampkin is one of just six players nationally to have at least seven games in which she scores 15 or more points and shoots 70% or better from the field in those games. The other players include Ayoka Lee, Alissa Pili, Yvonne Ejim, Reagan Beers and Mackenzie Holmes. NEVER COUNT OUT THE MEAN GREEN • North Texas overcame an 18-point deficit in the second half in its 72-68 win over Wichita State Sunday. • It was the program’s largest comeback win since Feb. 22, 2018 when the Mean Green rallied from 18 points down against Old Dominion. • DesiRay Kernal, Dyani Robinson and Tommisha Lampkin combined for all 30 of UNT’s points in the fourth quarter and outscored Wichita State 30-15.
  11. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Shipley had seven tackles (1.5 for loss) this season. He had five tackles in 11 games in 2022 and three in seven games in 2021. He did not play in 2020. A three-star prospect, Shipley was ranked No. 929 overall and No. 43 among strong-side defensive ends in the class of 2020, according to the 247Sports Composite. Of the 12 UO scholarship players to enter the portal this offseason, Shipley is the ninth to commit to a new school, joining receivers Ashton Cozart (SMU) and Kris Hutson (Washington State), safety Bryan Addison (UCLA), cornerback Trikweze Bridges (Florida), defensive back Cole Martin (Arizona State), running back Dante Dowdell (Nebraska), quarterback Ty Thompson (Tulane) and defensive lineman Tevita Pome’e. 12. For North Texas, it's a new year with a new Chandler at quarterback. Eric Morris lost the pilot of the American Athletic Conference's second-ranked passing offense when Chandler Rogers transferred to Cal. He might've just replaced him with former TCU signal caller Chandler Morris. Morris, who captained Highland Park to the 2018 Class 5A DI State Championship, announced his commitment to the Mean Green on Saturday. Morris began his college career at Oklahoma in 2020 before playing three seasons at TCU. He'll have two seasons of eligibility as a graduate transfer. Morris, the son of former SMU and Arkansas head coach Chad Morris, earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors in his first-career start in 2021 when he compiled 531 yards of offense in a thrilling win over Baylor. He entered the 2022 season as the starter, but an MCL sprain in week one allowed Max Duggan to take a stranglehold on the starting job and lead TCU to the national championship. Tabbed starter once again in 2023, Morris led TCU to a promising 3–1 start. But TCU suffered a back-to-back skid against West Virginia and Iowa State. Then, Morris again sustained a sprained MCL that sidelined him for multiple weeks. Redshirt freshman quarterback Josh Hoover took over, and the Horned Frogs stuck with him after Morris healed. Morris finished the year with 1,532 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Morris will battle Stone Earle for the North Texas starting job over the offseason. Eric Morris named Earle North Texas's starter to open 2023 before Rogers was inserted into the lineup after an 0–2 start. The Birdville alum announced his transfer to Abilene Christian after the season ended, but quickly opted to return to North Texas. read more: https://www.texasfootball.com/article/2024/01/15/former-tcu-quarterback-chandler-morris-transfers-to-north-texas?ref=article_preview_img
  13. I was thinking C+ but honestly I didn't want to seem overly negative about it. I also think we will be better with a year of Caponi's presence under our belt.
  14. I was thinking of buying one from a scalper on the day of the game.
