  1. I doubt many see this happening given the schedule. So in that sense your criteria seems unrealistic. Other than that I agree with you premise.
  2. Love your profile photo with Joe!

  4. I think Abou performed very well as a true freshman, and in key games against high level competition.
  5. Such is the case regarding Texas Tech's reliance on the transfer portal to build the current roster. Historically, transfers have been crapshoots at best in terms of making a big impact on the new team, but times have changed. The advent of the transfer portal in 2018 combined with much less restrictions and penalties for transfers has drastically altered the recruiting landscape. The result is the quality and quantity of transfers have improved dramatically. Not only that, but often times these players have been developed for a couple years in strong programs, are immediately eligible, plus have multiple seasons to play. Unlike high school recruits who in most cases need at least one or two seasons of development to play at the Power Five level, these transfers are ready to be plugged in and play without mortgaging the future and without the transition season you see so often with junior college additions. read more: https://247sports.com/college/texas-tech/ContentGallery/Texas-Tech-football-Red-Raiders-roster-transformation-NCAA-transfer-portal-Tyler-Shough-Henry-Colombi-Jesiah-Pierre-Tyree-Wilson-Chadarius-Townsend-Rayshad-Williams-Malik-Dunl-165056392/
  6. It's deep but we are also very smallish other than Novill.
  7. I put this in the signing day thread but it seemed to get lost.
  8. My point is this, ODU has a home and home for 10 years with Virginia Tech. Why can't we be similar? I found an article on ODU and they clearly are getting some of the best non-conference schedules in C-USA, possibly in all of G5. Why can't we do similar? "We have a bold vision as to where we want to take our football program," said Deputy Athletic Director Bruce Stewart, who handles football scheduling for the University. "We have used our great location and fan base to help secure these home opportunities against attractive Autonomy 5 programs within our region." The Hokies are coming to Norfolk five times over ten seasons. That shows the respect that Tech Athletic Director Whit Babcock and Coach Justin Fuente have for ODU. 9. I think the big boys have gone all into the transfer game and are eating up all the top prospects: https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/college-basketball-rankings-oregon-lands-syracuse-transfer-quincy-guerrier-moves-up-in-early-top-25-and-1/

  11. I wonder if they will end up buying the game out but would it not be the biggest name opponent we have ever had in Apogee stadium? Why is it so hard to get name opponents to come to Denton? 12. Does it really not bother you that one the greatest softball players ever to play at UNT will no longer be a UNT alumnus? Do you like being considered a junior college? When your wife left you for your best friend did you send her a congratulatory bouquet of roses?
  13. During his previous season at North Texas, Bean started in 7 of the Mean Green’s 10 matchups, and for good reason: he’s quick. Bean has a knack for speed, however, his ability to quickly get the ball into receivers’ hands could grab head coach Lance Leipold’s attention. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for facilitating young potential in the quarterback seat. However, in Kansas’ case, going with an experienced, reliable quarterback may be the right move here. If Bean can “wow” this coaching staff, there could be a new look to the Jayhawks’ offense. Read more: https://throughthephog.com/2021/05/17/kansas-football-veteran-transfer-jason-bean-bring-table/
  14. Jose Lethario (sp?). And gentleman Chris something I forget. He was from England or he had an english accent.
  15. Looks like we offered him but he committed to BU: Scott Drew landed a transfer commitment from Dale Bonner a 6-3, 175-poud combo guard from Fairmont State, a Division II program. Bonner averaged 21 ppg, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals for a 15-5 team while shooting 44% from 3 point range. Bonner chose Baylor over Penn State, Cleveland State, North Texas, UNC Asheville and others. https://sicem365.com/s/9676/baylor-basketball-lands-explosive-transfer
  16. I am thinking we will be pretty significant underdogs against Liberty this season. Freeze has really built them into a powerhouse.
  17. Maybe you have to wait longer for the good ones? Also seems like the post players are harder to land. I dunno but youre right it is taking some time.
