Why North Texas Will Win At least there’s a whole lot of experience in place for the Mean Green to be a whole lot better, and it’s all helped by new defensive coordinator Phil Bennett. It’s the offensive side that should be the difference-maker. The D will give up points and yards, but the O will get them back and then some against the Demon defense. The Mean Green led Conference USA in rushing, passing, and it’s all about to keep on going. The Northwestern State defense allowed 473 yards per game, and it’ll give up at least that many to the Mean Green attack. read more: https://collegefootballnews.com/2021/08/north-texas-vs-northwestern-state-prediction-game-preview

I can’t see the spots on my screen when I hit the link. Am I doing something wrong?

I get Dion but why add KD? One defensive is enough. Dion is more deserving no?

According to a report in the OU Daily, sophomore running back Tre Bradford is no longer with the Oklahoma football team. The LSU transfer from Lancaster, TX, had drawn attention for his speed and explosiveness, but the OU Daily reports he's no longer a part of the Sooner team. The Daily report cites "multiple" unnamed sources in saying Bradford has missed the Sooners' last two practices. Bradford does remain on the football team's official online roster as of Thursday afternoon. read more: https://news.google.com/articles/CBMiZGh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LnNpLmNvbS9jb2xsZWdlL29rbGFob21hL2Zvb3RiYWxsL3JlcG9ydC1va2xhaG9tYS1yYi10cmUtYnJhZGZvcmQtbm8tbG9uZ2VyLXdpdGgtdGhlLXRlYW3SAWlodHRwczovL3d3dy5zaS5jb20vY29sbGVnZS9va2xhaG9tYS8uYW1wL2Zvb3RiYWxsL3JlcG9ydC1va2xhaG9tYS1yYi10cmUtYnJhZGZvcmQtbm8tbG9uZ2VyLXdpdGgtdGhlLXRlYW0?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

I don’t think North Texas folk in general realize what this Darden Brady connection could mean for North Texas. It would literally be the biggest national story UNT has had as a University since probably Mean Joe Greene or perhaps Charles Whitman. We have not had an offensive player of this caliber in the NFL in the history of the program.

Look you may be joking, but SMU has always announced a higher number in attendance than are actually sitting in the stands. I’ve been to games there where we had more fans than they did.

With the University of Texas and Oklahoma University leaving the Big 12 Conference, effective 2025 if not sooner, other Texas universities have an opportunity to create an in-state Division 1 football conference that would: Cover all major Texas TV markets. Attract significant Texas corporate advertisers/sponsors. Preserve or create in-state rivalries and strengths in all sports. Tie in to established college football bowl games. Reduce travel costs and increase attendance for all sports. Open more opportunities for college scholarships for Texas high school athletes. Accommodate families who want to watch their sons and daughters play. Generate statewide public and alumni excitement for Texas college sports. read more: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reporternews.com/amp/8186122002
