Not a great overall receiver room - it was mostly a rushing offense, with a fullback and wr splitting reps at halfback. He was a one-year starter because he was stuck behind two three-stars (Josh Adkins/NMST, Levi Williams/Wyoming)

I covered Gombert in HS. He only got one year as a starter because the two dudes before him (Levi Williams-Wyoming and Josh Adkins-NMST/UTSA) were three-star recruits. So he is raw, but by all accounts he’s a leader in the locker room and has a decently strong arm. Plus, and I found this odd, he’s athletic but not a scrambler, mostly just bootlegs.
