I appreciate the job he does, but with his Podcast being advertised as part of the DCTF family representing UNT, it would be nice if some obvious UNT items were showing, not the emphasis on LSU. With the filters available, this would not be difficult.

There’s a kickass photo of Mac in the huddle in the championship game against Western and that large March Madness poster is from the Purdue/Nova games.

I don’t think that is a problem, especially when you’re covering both teams. It’s his room lol

This is correct. Hearing we will see some more portal entries in coming days. Heard some might be coming today.

Hopefully we will be able to retain most starters, but I’m starting to worry. I posted around a month ago about more players entering the portal, I guess I was a bit early…

Maybe we can use NIL opportunities and other amenities to keep some dudes that are important.

Aren’t you the same dude that was talking smack from the stands to our own players while they were on the sideline in the middle of a game? I can’t imagine why the staff or players wouldn’t want to be overly courteous to you.

My name is not William, so no. I’ve expressed frustration but everyone has. You’ve brought this up at least 3 different times and I reply this each time. Surprised you don’t know at this point…

    Wow.  Here's some revision.
Walerius brought in the best recruiting classes UNT has ever had (Sans 2000's class that brought us the likes of Booger, Scott Hall, Brad Kassell, Cody Spencer, & Jonas Buckles to name a few).  He was very good at his job, and I had never, ever heard of him having a bad/asshole reputation.

Just because people leave, doesn't mean we have to paint them as devils folks!

He told recruits to leave right after Seth got fired, he literally lied to multiple recruits about amenities and other things that I won’t go into detail about, who then did not commit or consider UNT (I know you gotta be fake as a recruiter but come on) he also ruined relationships with some recruits/coaches,  AND 0 players I ever talked to liked him and said he was a horrible person.
He did nothing the past 2 years, recruiting wise, unlike his first year here where he did thrive.

Personally, he was extremely rude to me and told security to take me off the field when I had a pass because “I’m negative on Twitter about the team” and other stuff. Bonus, he also wore a headset with no batteries because he’s not an actual coach, which I found funny.

Yep, I met one of the good ole boys that coached with him for years. The guy was an ass. I wonder how he recruited players when he was so unfriendly to fans.

Luke Walerius was the worst, biggest asshole I’ve ever met. He will never get a CFB job again unless it’s sucking off Seth…

Anyway, the staff cares about the players. That’s what matters most, if we can build a better culture and establish a solid recruitment pitch, we are set for the AAC.

I suspect we will soon see an inclusion of UNT-Dallas on the schedule.  Sort of feels like we "Owe" it to them due to the fact we are part of the same system.

    Josh Howard

Wouldn’t mind that, better than an LSU Alexandria or random schools not D1

Man, you can see what is headed UTSA's way and it could be ugly. They seem to be a house of cards....they seriously have to keep winning 10+ games every year in football to keep what little credibility they have. What happens if they have back to back 6 win seasons? What if Traylor turns out to be a bust? They can't afford to buy him out.

If there are 10 possible outcomes for UTSA in the coming years, it seems 8 of them are bad. What a risky situation.

UTSA is like a college athletics ponzi scheme....the crash is gonna be painful.

And we will sit back and laugh when it does derail!

Let him go off and fail. Scared to play here… good riddance.

Nope I hope Jake succeeds at the highest level possible. He wasn’t scared to play here, that’s silly. We don’t use Tight Ends, and he’s a great player that needs to be used in the right system.

    Bad take.

BUT I will say, no need to post this topic on here when he’s gone. Who really cares other than the fact that we produce some good transfers.

Another example of where this staff cares about the person not just the player.

I’ve said this many times before, but even if our staff is a bit younger than usual, the culture and overall shift of change is so much better than most staffs under Seth. Seth had some arrogant folks on his staff and hired people with 0 experience in that position. Like Passwaters.

Times are changing for the good!

What is your opinion on the kicking game units so far?   I didn't make the spring game but heard concerns about low FG kicks, high punt snaps, dropped punt returns, etc.   Is this fixable in Fall or a lingering concern going into the season?  I understand we have a BU kicker transfer on the way too.

He’s a freshman, it’s concerning if the Baylor dude gets injured, but I think it’ll be fine. Special teams is already better than years past, besides that unit. Once we get rolling in fall camp, I feel like it’ll be more clear and efficient.

And not even one "at the end of the day" or "all three phases"!

I’m a creature of habits, I’m gonna have to tell Morris to say both of those phrases on the first press conference of fall camp so I can feel relaxed that all 3 phases all 4 quarters played well… hahaha

It is true Aune didn’t complete as high a percentage as Rogers did but despite that, Aune averaged more than a yard per attempt more on his passes than Rogers.

Additionally, their touchdown to interception ratio was almost identical with Aune being a hair better.

Rogers might be great but I just hate when we hand transfers the job just because they are transfers or what they did at some other school.

Rogers isn’t getting handed the job… he earned it well on Saturday, if that’s what it came to. It’s also April, there is still a few months until fall camp and maybe something changes.

From the scrimmages and practices I’ve watched this spring, I think Rogers has edged out Earle and Ruder. But it’s nice to know we have good talent behind just in case.
