I don’t know if I can take another wild championship game. My heart could barely handle last year

I’d like to just win out and not have to stress on selection Sunday.

The best situation for 2 Bid CUSA is UAB winning out (yes I know that means we lost) and NT losing 1 game at max, then facing off in the championship game. If NT wins, that’s an automatic bid and with UAB having now 3 quad 1 wins but a loss in the championship, it would boost them into the possible first four. In short… both teams lose 1 more game at MAX, play each other in the championship and battle it out to see who gets the automatic bid and pray the selection committee on the Sunday after is nice and doesn’t snub like they did MTSU in 2019) UAB has a way better chance at an at large in almost every situation, but us winning at UAB would damage the chances of another bid since it would be a Q2 loss for them (big Q1 win for NT) See like I want 2 bids, but nothing would be better than NT winning out in the regular season and winning the tournament, which if that happens an 11 seed is more and more realistic with a 27-4 record in the end.

I forgot to say this, but I HIGHLY doubt Mac and the team care or are worrying about what seed they’ll be. Winning the championship, Making the tournament, winning the tournament and advancing is the goal, not if we are the 13 seed or 12 seed. Id love to see us be a 12 or 11, but as long as we make it and win, I’m okay with whatever that comes with the national media attention.

I still don’t think you understand how the evaluation tools work, but UTEP was top 150 and winning by 8 (giving up 4-6 points in garbage time) will not affect how we get seeded. Actually with that win, we’ve moved closer to an 11 seed according to most brackets and how they seed others based on NET rankings etc… We, once again, moved up in everything after the win and defensive efficiency continues to climb since we have allowed over 60 4 times in CUSA play and continue to hold solid offenses to well under their PPG average.

We need this type of crowd for the rest of the year!!! Smart hitting the step back 3 got that place loud! That and Hollingsworth free throws in 2020 were some of the loudest in a while.

Well at this rate, Maniacs have already done more than the Pit Crew ever. This is only the first month (not even a full month yet) of this organization and student attendance is climbing at all time rates. Heard that student turnout in Frisco should be massive and the last 2 home games should be as well. You gotta move on from the Pit Crew my guy, it was a good name but that’s OLD NEWS.

Realistically, we lose 2 more games this year. Don’t know who we lose to, but finishing with 1-3 losses in conference is REALLY good by the way. This team, and now they are playing, can definitely win out but that’ll be very difficult. Free Throws win games, and wellllllllll we haven’t been great at that.

Boum is their best player and top 5 in CUSA in scoring (4th with 18.9 PPG) Big task with hopefully a nice crowd
