Coach Morris on the Transfer Portal

Craven is the most biased reporter you'll ever encounter. I remember he reposted a post about a fanbase that bothers/annoys you the most, and he basically said it was us. Well, Craven, if you weren't so biased with your lists and articles, we wouldn't be on your ass so much lol -

Tough Times Ahead for San Antonio?
UNT Texas Hooligan replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Football
They mortgaged their entire athletic future on one coach hoping a P5 would pay his buyout and scoop him up for a big pay day. No one has yet. So they are left holding the bag on his contract with no money for any athletic improvements or hell, even money to buyout Henson. Add to that, UTSA fans notoriously note that their AD Campos is a horrible fundraiser, and most of their athletics outside of football will suffer. Once Traylor leaves and their gravy train ends, I truly doubt they'll be much threat athletically. That's why the UTSA to Pac-12/Big 12 rumors were so comical to me.- 22 replies

Sort of related but unfortunately, the Dallas Mavericks are dealing with their own Seth Littrell right now in someone that takes no ownership and constantly passes the blame to someone else. But I digress. This was my biggest issue with him. Towards the end, there appeared to be no desire to do better. He was completely satisfied with 6-6 and his constant coach speak on trying to sugarcoat what were some completely average teams was infuriating and either made him look delusional or careless. Either way, this new era is already off to a good start. Even just with the energy. I love watching practice videos and seeing how hype Morris and co. get after a player makes a great play or even seeing them jump in and put themselves through some of the workouts that they put their players through. As a player, that would mean a heck of a lot to me to see my coaches grind like me. The players really seem to like and trust these coaches which is big. Their social media presence is also excellent (which it needs to be in today's day and age). Overall, from the energy, to the recruiting, to the social media, I'm loving what I'm seeing so far and hope it continues.

UNT 2023 1ST scrimmage observations (4/8/23)

I'm curious, people keep saying that our lines look big. Do we mean big for us or compared to schools like UH whose lines used to dwarf ours? Also, is Rogers looking early like a Jason Bean with a run first mentality? -

Congrats @NWKGREEN. Everywhere I have read, your boy has gotten rave reviews and seems the very early lead for the starting job. I hope it continues and he dominates out there. I’m sure new coaching will do wonders for his developmental as well. Good luck -
Spring games against other schools?

I don't know man. Dilfer strikes me as a not so smart person and I have a feeling this is going to end up blowing up in UAB's face. -
I message with him on Twitter. He and the family are excited to be back in DFW working alongside Hodge that they have known for a while. That being said, I got no indications he was interested in getting back into coaching. Think he enjoys his announcing career as it is now...

no plans, but potential interest
UNT Texas Hooligan replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Basketball
We clown UTSA for using a stadium off campus that they don't even own and now we are trying to do the same thing? If people complain about student/alumni attendance now, just imagine if this actually goes through... -

Keeping Hodge on will be huge in trying to keep a lot of our players here. By all accounts, the players love Hodge -
This one probably needs more editing. I’m sure it was a longer celebration and included Mac giving a speech about leaving for Tech

Well, I'm sure he'll still have his opportunity once this season is over. -
How many assistants have to grind it out just to wait for their opportunity at a Head Coaching gig to come available for them? There are very few Head Coaching jobs out there. Hodge would honestly be crazy to turn down a head coaching gig to remain an assistant at Tech, even if the money is slightly better.

He's been due head coaching gigs and there has been plenty of smoke about him getting looks. Understand he may have turned down some opportunities.
