Pete Thamel has followed up that report by adding that UConn officials have spoken to C-USA about joining the league, but says there have been no negotiations and no decision is imminent. Thamel says a lot is riding on if Marshall stays in the league or heads for the Sun Belt. If Marshall stays, Liberty's addition to the league is "likely" with New Mexico State as the eighth team.

According to ESPN: Attendance: 13,454.

He was mentioned as a candidate for the LSU job on the Paul Finebaum show last week.

I was not at the event. I watched it online. When they showed him, he seemed to look uncomfortable and never smiled. I found it odd, but maybe that's just me.

SL should be fired now. However, I do not see him being fired during the season. I hope I am wrong. WB extended the contract. Make no mistake, NS signed off before it was presented to the Board of Regents. Both are culpable for this shit show. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Why donors would want to pay off the contract of someone's stupidity is beyond me. With that said, I hope something can be done sooner rather than later.
