I read your responses as, TCU chose Seals between Seals and Morris. Maybe you meant something else?
If that’s what you read, then you read my response wrong.

Tcu didn't choose seals over Morris. Morris left
I never said they did. You’re inferring something I did not say.
What I did say was that TCU chose Seals with two years of eligibility left and that I hope we made the right decision. I’ll be rooting for both next year.

TCU went with Seals because Morris left.
And we went with Morris because Rogers left. So what’s your point?
A year removed from the National Championship game, TCU wasn’t short on options to replace Morris. Sonny & Briles could have gone with numerous other QBs in the portal but chose Seals above the others.

Good for him if he gets to come home to play his final college years, even if it's not for our school.

I used to believe this much more strongly than I do now... between the fumbling of Rogers at the beginning of the year, to failing to even talk to Ken Seals, and now each day that passes with Stone Earle as our QB... doubt is starting to creep in.
I share your doubt. We better lock down a quality dual-threat QB from the portal otherwise this is a clear misstep. Ken Seals can sling it, he’s a natural leader, and would be a valuable asset and bring big game experience to our squad. Dude had Swiss cheese for an OL at Vandy and still managed to put up solid numbers vs SEC teams. Big stadiums and bright lights don’t phase him.

Here we are, 4 days later... Any update @C Rod?
Hoping Coach O didn't drop this receipt, and that he, along with multiple other coaches, including Morris, reached out?If no, and we don't have another big-time, day-1-starter QB signed on ESD (December 20th), I'll be very disappointed in Morris' QB evaluations... something I never thought I'd say.
Crickets…
Washington State flew out and met with Ken at his home. Ken’s going to take a visit in the coming days.

That’s strange. Mutual interest with a talented DFW kid sounds like a great fit! Thanks for the info.
So strange. Never got past a text message. Radio silence since and no phone call leads me to believe UNT isn’t interested. 😕
But guess who is… UTSA. 🤢I heard from Ken’s father this morning that UTSA coach called yesterday and is very interested. UTSA currently has an offer out to a different portal QB and if he doesn’t take the offer, they want Ken.

Put Rogers in a Commodores helmet and I wonder how he does (heck, maybe we'll find out!) He played SEC football, and got a degree from Vanderbilt. That is a success to me.
I promise I'm not saying that lightly, and definitely not out of spite to poo-poo Rogers.
Ask any of our Parker County residents who happened to see Seals play. Now, it seems he just wants to ball close to home, and if he wants to go into business, UNT has some extremely competitive graduate programs in that arena... not to mention an insanely-successful alumnus who runs one of the most successful Tax firms in America, who probably could get him a nice position upon graduation if he so chooses.
I can confirm conversations are taking place as we speak.

Yes I am. Ken is very interested. Will be home this Sunday. I’m making calls.

QB KEN SEALS
Played in the SEC for 4 years. 2 years of eligibility left due to Covid year and injury redshirt season. Wants to come home and play his final two years.

I’m gonna sleep on SMU when it comes to who we might lose Chandler Rogers to. Their QB is only a sophomore.
Well depending on how severe Preston Stone’s leg injury is, SMU could view Chandler as an insurance policy. I’m not a doctor but Stone’s injury looked like a significant left knee injury.

Why in God's name would Chandler Rogers even think about moving on.....yet again? He is running an offense that made North Texas history. He is playing at a school that is in one of the largest media markets in the nation. Moving to another school and learning a new system would mean he would have to work twice as hard.....with no guarantees.
You'd have to be brain damaged or have a HUGE ego to make that kind of move.
Money talks. Don’t sleep on SMU. Boatloads of NIL cash, in the same metro market, and now P5 ACC opponents to play against during his last year of eligibility.

TIE BALLGAME! Huge 2nd half comeback. Finally our offense is clicking and the defensive has kept us in it. This is complimentary football at its finest.
