  1. You could be right! I do wonder if maybe we could hire a guy like Jeff Traylor to come consult EMO for a few days? Maybe just to teach him how to build a program. I could see that being helpful in the long run.
  2. That’s a fair point. I just get really nervous when I see the university that I dearly love struggling so much!!
  3. As I sit here seeing all of these names enter the portal, I am a bit caught off guard. I really thought we had found something special at the end of the year. Morris was hired to bring in talent, and it appears to me that we are losing much more of it than bringing in. I wonder if it would help him to bring in an experienced voice and recruiter. Somebody that can unite, inspire, and maybe most importantly RETAIN talent. Somebody that is respected among TX high school coaches. Somebody that knows the area well. Somebody that has been a HC at this level. Somebody who has learned what it takes to succeed and fail at this level. That somebody may be Todd Dodge. Who is to say the one who killed this program could not also be the one to resurrect it? I think he could be a big help to EMO. I am not off the train yet, but I do wonder if Littrell might be involved in some sabotaging of this roster, given everything that has occurred. Please talk me off the ledge. #GMG Signed, A Concerned Fan
  4. As I pulled into my driveway tonight, I couldn’t help but have flashbacks. On a night where emotions were high considering our best start to the season in decades, the honoring of Mean Joe, and the INCREDIBLE home field advantage - I couldn’t help but find myself having this unique feeling that I’ve had before at one point. And no, it was not the nachos that I had in the 2nd quarter (LOL). Rather, this loss tonight felt eerily similar to that game against Portland State under McCarney just a few years ago. For both games, it felt like the end of an era. Don’t get me wrong; Littrell and company have done a great job up to this point. However, I can’t shake this feeling that they were the staff meant to get us out of the hole - but sadly unable to bring us into the clouds, if you will. I truly believe we have outgrown this staff. In order to take us to the next step, I am convinced we need some out of the box thinking. Maybe Mean Joe himself would be interested in the gig? I don’t know the answer, to be honest. In the back of my mind, I can’t help but think Todd Dodge could have unprecedented success here with the new administration, facilities, and support. We saw what he did at Southlake, and what he was slowly doing here for us. Ultimately, I don’t know the answer. But I do know this: Littrell has been huge for us, but this feeling I got was not wrong. It’s time for a change.
