Herman brings experience, winning history. Good reputation with Texas high schools. Probably could lure more transfers here too.
This post shows you have no clue what you’d be getting with Herman. His reputation with Texas HS coaches was one of the determining factors in his firing because he was lying to HS recruits to the point he couldn’t keep it all straight.
He’s despicable as a human being. When our AD and President flew to Columbus to interview him at his home he yelled and cursed at his own children in front of them. They left and hired Morris instead.
He wouldn’t take the job anyway so the point is moot.
Some of the names being thrown around here are laughable. Morris may be the only attainable one, and that would be a fun dumpster fire to watch play out.

Asking in advance, how do you like your crow prepared?

This is false. SMU does own more than a few homes, but most are/were adjacent to campus for expansion. Sonny owned his own home. It was on Drexel, it's public record - you can look it up. Jankovich owns his own home on Druid by HPHS. Again, public record. SMU used to own the University President's home on University Dr (by HP Presby), but sold it a couple years ago and now he's building his own, across the street from the former house.
If you're going to go to an opposing school's message boards and start spitting out "facts", make sure they're ALL correct, or you discredit the ones that might actually be.

important piece of info
Right. You can bet that "source" is Mac's agent. It's how the game is played. Also, know that this wasn't a snap decision and talks have probably been going on for a while.

Makes sense for SMU last night. Sonny Dykes has said this is his most talented team he’s had so far. With the addition of Mordecai and highly ranked Freshman Preston Stone, there’s a lot of anticipation with that program right now.
Tough matchup for us, but SMU is not unbeatable by any means.
And a lot of people were out of town for the 3-day weekend.
Should be a good game next week. Looking forward to it.

Since my last post got deleted, no, I'm not challenging anyone to a fight. It's not worth my career. I was just telling you where I was to prove that you were the coward hiding behind the anonymity of a keyboard instead of being man enough to say something to someone's face.
Isn’t that exactly what you’re doing?

Trash talk aside, for anyone making the trip down, enjoy the game and welcome to campus.

Beautimous! When will the team begin using the facility?
Wait, you haven’t even opened yours yet?
its too bad your players have to cross a highway to get to practice.

Did SMU actually build one? The only pictures on the SMU Athletics website are from the drawings made before construction. The only pictures I found online were supposedly of the construction. You'd think if the facility was so nice it wouldn't be so hard to find pictures of it.
Pics or it didn't happen.

Wow, what a beautiful facility.
So, just North Texas and Houston have indoor practice fields inside solid structures? Texas has an inflatable structure and ATM has cloth, and aren't all the other indoor practice facilities (TCU, Tech, Baylor) short or partial fields? Isn't SMU building a tiny half field facility?
SMU has already opened an indoor practice facility, it's a solid structure, but yeah, it's a tiny 90 yard half field, but real estate is a little harder to come by down here, costs a little more too.
Ours does have AC though.

Will SMU suffer long-term for taking in all these transfers for 2019?
Probably not since of the 23 on scholarship, 15 will be back for the 2020 season, and 5 or 6 return for 2021. They aren’t all one year stop gaps.

Why would SMU be advertising a game at Apogee?
The Ticket is the broadcast provider for SMU games. The Ticket is advertising a broadcast featuring 2 local teams for an asset that they want to promote on their station. I'm an SMU alum and it annoyed me when they said that. The Ticket is probably the one that wrote the copy on the ad anyway.
