Was just informed by as reliable a source as they come (aka not a media source, and not DRC 😆), but someone in direct relation with our HC (as much detail as I'll give) verified ... that Seth's deal was 100% finalized tonight with Kansas State. Now, for real we can say ... #InWrenWeTrust when it comes to our next Head Coach.

There was a team meeting on Sunday. Last night I saw posts from a few different people from Sunday ('Chico' and J-Lee are both student athletic trainers; other 2 are players obviously). Maybe something has changed since then, but not likely since SL has been out in New York. If, indeed, the team meeting was about SL leaving (and I'm sure some Bowl chat), I'm not sure why ANYONE would even be posting anything on the subject or anything that could be taken as reflecting on the subject (like such frown faces), as I'm sure they were told not to say anything - obviously their tweets can be open for speculation, but I doubt these are reactions just from the Bowl Game news. Regardless, the next couple of days should be interesting.

This is beside the point of this thread - but - Are we sure we got 4th place? I actually sent a note to C-USA about this yesterday, because the CUSA Championship game showed the following in West: 1 - UAB, 2 - North Texas, 3 - SO Miss, 4 - LA Tech. However, CUSA site shows this: 1 - UAB, 2 - North Texas, 3 - LA Tech, 4 - SO Miss. Technically, it's a 3-way tie for 2nd place with our conference division records, but our overall record is notably better than the other 2. We lost to LA Tech, but beat SM. LA Tech beat us, but lost to SM. SM beat LA Tech, but lost to us. Either way, both sources quoted us as ending up in 2nd place. Not that it means anything now, but 2nd sounds better than 4th. Just throwing that out there.

We can't just set aside the fact that obviously SL has been considering going to K-State. Do we want him to stay at this point - emotionally? We need someone who is 100% committed to our season next year. I'm not saying SL won't be 100% if he stays, but we will probably have to go through all of this again next year - all while he may have 1 foot out the door. If he is going to stay, which I doubt he is, we would have heard something by now in my opinion.

We will be playing the Bowl game with an interim head coach, most likely Mainord (who hopefully doesn’t get poached by SL). They should already be announcing this coaching change (if not announced it yesterday) so our guys can start off their week on Monday with a fresh start after hearing their Bowl announcement tomorrow. No one wants to get the Bowl announcement, get pumped for it, then get this news. K-State can very well take their time since they don’t have a Bowl game, but time is of the essence here for us. IMHO.

I agree. It's disappointing. Fairly confident our fan base will be pissed when they find out that we are playing our Bowl Game with an interim coach, even though I know that's just how it goes. If he were just patient for another year, guaranteed he probably would have had a bigger "name" P5 school looking at him. Edited to say: We can be disappointed, but it's understanding when a school is throwing that much cash at him and not sure we can blame him for that. Selfishly though, we can be disappointed. I hope Wren gets an extremely solid name and I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve with his great leadership so far. I hope our other coaches will still stay and support this group of guys.

This article was updated at 5:45pm, which was when he arrived at the building after leaving the event at Kansas he was attending. Looks like reporters on Twitter had him leaving the building 20 minutes ago most likely heading home for the night. He did not address any reporters on his way out.

The fact that Bill Snyder is at this event makes me think there may not be anything to announce today? 🤔 Happy to contribute to the speculation.

The Visitors section is section 138. This was the section UNT had blocked off to purchase through our ticket site. I just tried going online (on our site) to purchase tickets, but they are no longer available for some reason. Not sure if that means all the Visitor seats are sold out or what. 😆 It wasn't like that 2-3 days ago when I initially looked and we could purchase them - Now the only option is to put a deposit down for new season tickets for next year. We will probably shoot to get ours around Sec. 137. I would try to get somewhere between 141-133 and you'll probably be safe - Lawd knows you don't want 132 next to the students (though hopefully being a holiday, it may not be too full).

Hopefully UAB will stay closer to home and the First Responders Bowl can be “granted” to us. Which Bowl would LA Tech shoot for - New Orleans? I would imagine FR Bowl would be their next choice if they didn’t go to NO for whatever reason.

Anyone have a Blue Lot Parking Pass they are needing to get rid of at a discounted price for Thursday's game? We'd be happy to take it off your hands! 😄

We are season ticket holders but did not purchase Blue Lot passes in advance when we got our season tickets. This past Sunday, we purchased a Blue Lot pass for tomorrow’s game. I’ve read a few other threads on here and it seems like this Lot is extremely hit or miss. How is this working? Are they still over-selling these passes so we could get turned away when we get there? We normally park in the Orange Lot and walk, but tomorrow we wanted to try the Blue Lot. Also - I drove through the lot this morning around 10:30 and they were setting up the tents for tomorrow - The Lot was practically full already. There were hardly any spots in that huge lot! It makes me weary for tomorrow. We were planning to arrive at 1:00. We have already talked about paying the $350 to the MGSF for next year, which includes Blue Lot passes, but if we are going to get turned away, how will that even work? Can anyone shed some light on the Blue Lot blues? :)
