  1. Good return over 5 months. Also, not life changing. He turned his back on culture to what will amount to 190ishk after taxes. Look, I ain't mad at him. Ultimately, I honestly don't care. It was just fitting to watch karma take care of all that in 1 night. But he will definitely find a seat next to Drez on the "I shouldn't have left" couch. My only question is, will he be as open about it as Drez was? I hope. Good recruiting pitch for us.
  2. I understand all of that. I don't despise the guy. I don't wish ill will towards him. But I will say it was sugary sweet watching Kansas State and Xavier lose as we advanced. But TP ingrained himself into our culture and embodied it. Then left it, for peanuts. In his heart of hearts, I gurantee you he wishes he stayed. But, meh. Onto rd2 of NIT.
  3. Meh. This is North Texas basketball. I expected to win.
  4. We 100% get in. We beat st John's, Fordham, lsu, miss st (can afford to drop that one), split fau, sweep uab and smu, Boise, wouldn't have had that ugly nutsack blemish. That's plus 9. 27-5 with decent noncon victories and in a better conference. That's in. 100%.
  5. Sissoko had some boneheadedness early... but is fighting down low
  6. Lsu fans have limp wrists. The squeaks are echoing.
  7. Taking risk in passing lanes and sloppy turnovers... by non-GM guys. Clean it up.
  8. I think in the conference, given that we had 2 make it and 3 on and off the bubble (usf, smu, memp), I think with Abou and Perry we are in. We would be a 25+ win team with nice noncon wins and maybe 2 or 3 conference losses. Our resume would have overtaken FAUs.
  9. Both sides are correct... Productivity has to be available off the bench. But it's hard to watch the productivity coming off the bench replace minimal productivity. I would love to see more out of Sissoko. But we wouldn't have NIT hardware in our case if it wasn't for Sissoko. So, it's easy for me to want more out of him, but it's hard for me to be upset with him. He took on a difficult challenge in the NIT last year and rose up and played exceptionally well for us. Then stayed to try and do it again.
  10. Sharing of revenue? When we move to the revenue sharing model? Schools aren't sharing anything. Colleges are doing what pro team owners dreamt they would've thought of... having fans pay salaries and owners (institutions in this scenario) raking it alllllll in...
  11. Charlotte, 19-12 (13-5), didn't get a NIT invite and we, 18-14 (10-8), did?
  12. I don't smoke much. Kind of a gummie guy... but currently pretty clean. But I'm talking about reality, not statistics
  13. Sort of a wishy washy comment. They are generally better than us across the board. Davis exceintuated that, bit they were often better across the board.
  14. We need them both go stay. We need every team to be as good as possible. So, when one day, we're not in USFs shoes. 2-bid league
  15. Pretty accurate. I don't think Ross did a bad job. I think Edwards took us out of our identity too much. And I know it sounds like stupidity to say given he was our leader scorer, and I don't mean this any ill will towards him (and I wish he would stay), but his game inflicted us. And I know a lot of that is due to injury, but he didn't value the ball as a ball handler and he took too many iso shots as a player. I get that all sounds crazy, (and I also wish he stays because he could be a larger asset mining forward), but there's truth to it
  16. Oh dude stop. Kai was my dude last year. Awesomeness bundled up in a human being. Everything about that guy I liked. To state, Noland can be his replica next year. Edwards is good... he can score it... but I also thought he was our Achilles heel a lot. Too sporadic, defense too mysterious, and clutch gene nonexistent. If I'm being honest, I'm not heartbroken if he leaves. If he stays, there is certainly a place for him and that is at a off ball finisher, exclusively.
  17. I give us an A- to A. Too much injury, too much uncertainty with injuries. It's unusual to go these long gaps with so much uncertainty in basketball. Usually, they're either done done for the year or back very soon. The coaching staff took on the challenge of those injuries, and as I've said previously, put out a competitive product. That doesn't go without criticism... we have to do certain things as a program to get better.. 1. Timely timeouts to stop runs. 2. Timely timeouts to hold our marginal lead, talk to the defense, and let them breathe. 3. Own basket sets. C'mon.. this is elementary. 4. E. M. O. T. I. O. N. Infusion from the coaching staff to the players... let me hear you
  18. I don't see it. Guy is a defensive nightmare and turnover prone as the 1, and too small to be the 2 at a major. But if he goes I absolutely do not wish him well. I wish him defeat.
  19. No. It's unlikely we see a NIT bid. The rules have changed for the rich.
  20. He must like that gray snatch. It's there for him.
