I did watch the game and it was BS. Regarding the 45 UTSA 3s vs 23 Memphis 3s, so Memphis never got too close to a UTSA shooter on those 45 attempts but they call this for a Memphis 4 point play?
But really it's this stuff I had issue with. A good, solid screen with seconds left in the game and they blow the whistle. Illegal screens can get tricky but I don't see the UTSA player leaning in or to the side to make himself bigger. If you want to say he was late to the spot and was still moving, I'd say it's not obvious and I don't believe it's worthy of the whistle. Would have given UTSA an uncontested dunk to take the lead with less than 6 seconds left since the whistle was blown at 6 left to go.
That’s a foul

College football was fun and regional. Many people watched so companies started to pay for the product. Now we will have 4 hour games of not much action with with UCLA at Northwestern and Wake Forest at Cal in October.

Either the two have said no and commish is getting ahead of it, or did the math and can't justify going west.

In a world where the AAC is raiding the MWC (and hopefully that is this world), I'm not sure why I see so many advocating for UNLV. They're no longer the basketball school they were in the 80s or even the late 00's, early '10s. They've had 1 winning football season in the last 22 years, and it's the year we beat them in the Heart of Dallas bowl.
Hard pass from me.
It’s mainly for the LV in UNLV.

You don't think scraping the top teams would be a better option? Buyout for AAC is not that big.
They'll want teams in Texas also

Congrats SMU. Now for UNT, we really need the AAC to add Washington and Oregon State to keep us competitive for the 5th playoff spot every year. That will be the next domino to fall. We can certainly beat MWC with more money.
Then let’s add SDSU, UNLV, and a Colorado team.

I read the other day this was a major issue for ESPN. With USC, UCLA, Oregon, and UW going to the B1G, all the major west coast markets belong to FOX. My question is, if ESPN was so concerned about west coast markets, why were they not a bigger player in the PAC media deal negotiations before all of this crumbled to begin with? I'm assuming they just didn't have the money to pay what that collection of schools wanted.
It seemed like PAC 12 was tired of only playing on tv after 9 eastern time. For a few years there I didn’t watch a single pac 12 game.

A Qb in July with multiple offers and multiple D-1 offers is big time.
But I was saying big time from the video.

Sorry, fairy stupid reply. A lot of us were taught to honor commitments. Kids can change their minds, but a lot of 17/18-year-olds honor the commitments they make.
So is there or isn’t there a lot of guys changing their commitments? Or are y’all just saying parents now don’t teach their children about honoring their commitments?

I was taught by my parents to be careful with my decisions and to honor commitments.
So you are saying you weren’t a normal teenager?

I hear you and agree and I am also one that hates the new "system". I think my greatest issue is how these kids write an essay about how thankful they are for the opportunity, appreciative of every coach, teacher and relative that have supported them along the way, shout out to the posse, etc... when they announce a commitment.
Then, a couple weeks later when someone else comes along, they post a tweet about being in long discussions with advisors, family members and girlfriends and taking sabbaticals of extensive prayer and deep thought with God, etc and then announce they are de-committing and ask for understanding and to respect their decision. Be up front and honest.
You are describing a teenager.

Selfishly I hate that it is over in Cowtown now. It's a solid 55-65 minute drive from Plano.
I know the facility is much better, we enjoyed seeing Brooks and Dunn there back in May. But, the house and my office are minutes away from The Star. During our mid-day Tournament games, I would block off a few hours on the work calendar and drive up to The Star and back to the office after it was done.
I didn't look at the setup of the AAC tourney last year. I assume there are games from morning to night to get both the men's and women's games in on a single court?
Men and women didn’t play at the same time. Hopefully same next year. Tickets from now on will be more expensive though.

I can’t image a scenario where this staff actually brings in a major recruit. HS recruiting has been ok but nothing more than the old staff. Charlotte just landed a guy with 50 offers, for comparison. I think they are energetic and hustling, but let’s be honest with ourselves. We hired an FCS coach who is still looking for diamond in the rough players while our peers are bringing in blue chips. Morris better be an amazing Xs and Os guy or he will be gone in three years.
Can you define peers and blue chips?

Can’t wait to see Traylor’s frustration over this one.
I bet this is why he is mad already. Wouldn’t be surprised if he let coach match the offer.
Is the NCAA giving advise for tax purposes? Ugly mess if these guys aren’t claiming and paying their incomes.

LSU Women's basketball team had 9 players transfer in this year and on the NCAA tournament . We may not like this change in college sports but it is what it is. I am so old that I remember when college football players played both ways , ran the single wing, and wore leather helmets. Oh well.
Couldn’t even play first couple years on campus.
