    So we hire a HC that hires a DC whose only DC job was as a DC at a D3 school. Other than that he has travelled the coaching circuit as a position coach and he thinks it's a great idea to give him a DC position because he has been a position coach on a defense that did well because their DC was better.

    At this point Caponi has to go. I know I am a keyboard warrior and the HC should not overreact, but this is on him. He has to make the hard decisions and this is one of them. Caponi's defense and his inexperienced staff need to go.

    Maybe that's what we are trying to do. I got the email from ERCOT about conserving energy earlier this week. Apparently this team is following their instructions.

    Unfortunately, this defense will never stop anyone. I hate to see Mazin putting his hand in the dirt. That is not where he should be. We can score all day, but it does no good if you can't get stops.

    Rogers is our QB. He put this team on his back and that is what leaders do.

    I agree. No one has more Super Bowl appearances than The Steelers, Patriots, and Cowboys. No one has more National Championships than Nick Saban. What do they all have in common? They were all defensive coaches.

    Agreed. If you knew it was going to be 4 downs, then he should have run on 3rd and 2. Use our strength.

    Love that last drive, but never fear Caponi's defense will give it right back.

    We are there. However, given our history, I don't think we will hit the transfer portal or do much with NIL.

    After watching this first half, I am not convinced that Cal really improved that much. I am now convinced that we have regressed to Dodge era football.

    I love North Texas and will continue to support them, but we have a bad product on the field. We will get curb stomped in conference play. Right now, we are the worst team in the conference.

    I respectfully disagree. He needs to be benched after the half.

    At this point, we should see Rogers in the second half. Give him a full half when the game is still in the balance. Last week he came in when the game was already decided.

    Maybe EM has figured out that we need to run the damn ball. Maybe Caponi can figure out that this 3-3-5 is trash with players he has and can adjust.

    We hired another HC with no FBS HC experience and one with a mediocre HC job at the FCS level.
