  1. I can go to a truck stop anywhere in DFW and get OU memorabilia a lot easier than to find UNT gear other than Walmart and Academy in Denton.
  2. Harrell is a flashy name because of his success at Tech. I do not think he is ready, but as everyone else has said, UTEP may be needing to take a stretch on someone like Harrell. Whether he takes the job is up to him, but for the right price, I can see him doing it. He left his comfortable job at Washington State under his mentor, Leach to come to a school that rarely had offensive talent with an unproven head coach and he would have to change the entire offensive scheme. I am sure after a few years, he would have been the OC at Washington State.
  3. Kingsbury was 34 when he took over at Tech. Nothing is impossible. If Tech Implodes and finishes near 6-6 or worse, I could see Kingsbury going there. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/tennessee-football/tennessee-assistant-coach-among-rumored-mix-utep-job/ Mike Canales is also a candidate as well. Would love to see him at UTEP.
  4. http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/news/college-football-bowl-predictions-week-6-penn-state-oklahoma-college-football-playoff-alabama-clemson/6w3gf3xb6nmo1u8oy5rurutdy Has us playing Dec. 26 Zaxby's Heart of Dallas BowlTexas Tech vs. North Texas Would be more down for that than Nebraska! The CBS Sports Prediction of having us in the Cure Bowl against Memphis also had an asterisk next to it saying we would be one of the 2 teams with the highest APR with 5 wins. Air Force would be the other 5 win team to make a bowl game. I honestly think we have been overlooked in all of the projections and they have just put us wherever without really knowing much about us or CUSA.
  5. I haven't really been following the Lane Kiffin at FAU. But does anyone know if he will hire his father again to be his defensive coordinator or as a defensive assistant? Monte is currently a defensive assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  6. I agree with that. Although 1st offers may mean something.
  7. I've never used a sports betting site, but I think UNT can keep Army to less than a 9 point win. Heck I have UNT winning the game. Sounds like a good time to make some cash.

  9. And it was on New Years Day, the official end of the Holiday Season.
  10. PJ Fleck was super excited last night saying he how they deserved the Cotton Bowl and not anyone else. What a sick joke it would be to them by getting to play in the Cotton Bowl stadium and not the actual Cotton Bowl Classic. ;)
  11. You would rather wait until December 10th to find out we might be playing on December 17th? That gives everyone including the players and team only 1 week to prepare for their opponent, make travel arrangements and get there early enough to even do the bowl activities before the game. P.S. I never said I wanted Navy to lose this Saturday. I did say I want W Michigan to win so they go undefeated into the Cotton Bowl.
  12. I would be down for that, even in the Independence Bowl.
  13. Right so we need W Michigan to win so we actually know who we will be playing and not wait another week for Navy to finish their season. W Michigan will keep their ranking if they win.
  14. But if W Michigan loses and Navy wins, then the bowl announcements might be delayed until after Navy plays Army next week. I think W Michigan winning and Navy doing whatever is fine because W Michigan will make the Cotton Bowl. An undefeated G5 team shouldn't have to be dropped in ranking because a 2 loss team prevailed in a championship game.
  15. I mentioned that earlier but we are "currently" eyeing another open spot by whoever has the tie-in. If Navy makes a New Years 6 bowl, then there would be 2 open spots for the armed forces bowl which could help us get a more level opponent.
