  1. Any idea on why the slow flow of incoming recruits?
  2. awesome... surprised they haven't tweeted it out yet
  3. I believe this kid came in for the SMU game.. I sent in about 5 guys from Cisco College, I can post links if people wanna see... also some of the stuff is following them now
  4. Honestly, getting just aBig time QB could and would flip this program quickly..
  5. I'm assuming the answer is no, but with us getting on on APR.. is there a way we could still end up at the HOD Bowl game? with another C-USA school filling this slot? I"m assuming they fill all the bowls possible then whatever is left is what you get assigned too I do like that option, its not a great location in terms of helping us recruit or bringing in fans, but maybe UAB fans come out to cheer on a fellow C-USA school... I think it could be nice to play them, also this may sound bad but not a terrible thing for us... an extra month of practicing, and we saw what Ek and Reff could do with 2 weeks at Army... Not to say Vandy is Army, but they can think of something and I think Ek kind of knows what to expect after coaching vs them last year and years before that as well.. But if we did get an L, could say hey its an SEC school...
  6. I used the email I got on here, but the email has not been opened(I had it set up to send me a reply when opened.) But I would think the same thing, the kid could be a PWO with the # of scholly that we have the # of openings. Even if KState has reached out, UNT should be in contact... K-State has given us Hood and English which are 2 solid DL players just saying they have some type of talent for DT/DL in the area... Also, I'm not sure how successful Southlake has been but its a school that has a winning history, and this team needs to bring in players who are from winning programs...
  7. has any school contacted him yet? LOL not sure if this would work, but could give it a shoot is tweet this to English or even have Zack tweet at english saying something along the lines that he would like to team up with him on the DLine.. maybe even Hoston as well. Could even have him tweet at Trice, who I believe tweeted about how kids if they stayed could turn UNT into the new U... have Zack tweet saying he needs some help from Trice to try and turn UNT into the new U as well..
  8. well hopefully alot of them were impressed with the first half and wrote a nice check for us to keep these coaches around.. and to give them some more coin to help improve the recruitment of the players or development of players..
  9. I could be wrong, but I believe before the season started when they did the team photo and position group pics... he posted up photos of him with the DL group, and I would assume that he moved in the summer or at fall camp. but again I'm not 100%
  10. once again i totally agree.. and it is up to the refs to call it... just like how they can call holding on must any play.. the only difference is when a play uses or attempts to make hit the player in the head or neck region.. which i don't think McClain meant to do, but it happened and was call to be made by the Video Official. Who by rule made the had the ability to eject or keep him in the game.. He elected to toss him so it only effected us on for that 1 game
  11. We just need to sale to kids that if you would possibly make it to the NFL and get a good education, , then come to UNT.. may not be the biggest or sexiest name in the state.. but the pros want players with tape and experience and we can give you a ton of playing time here
  12. I believe he is injuried and playing along the DLine now.. not sure why he didn't get a try
  13. I agree with everything and that's what I have been trying to say.. but even grazing him, could be viewed as targeting.. and it does suck about the video ref.. but I don't think anyone views UNT as a dirty team at all.
  14. Not sure if we discussing the same play. The play i'm talking about was on the drive that should have started with LA Tech at their own 15, but we had the hit out of bounds, and on the same drive it was the McClain targeting... but Davis stood over the WR and waved incomplete and got a 15 yds for it.. I hope you get a reply from them after they watch it... or maybe even email asking about certain plays
  15. The targeting call is anything to the head with a players forearm, helmet, shoulder pad, etc.. it's also up the replay official if the player is tossed.. they felt he deserved it and that he had more then enough time to not go for the head. I'm not defending the refs, I'm saying that when you give them a chance to call it and do, it's not their fault. I also agree it was a minor hit on the QB, compared to others but it's still something that could be flagged. Just like the call on Chad for standing over the WR.. all he had to do was get up and take a step away and then wave his arms, then no penalty.
  16. They seem at times or most of the time to manage the game instead of trying to be aggressive at times.. also the WRs are being pressed nonstop and teams know they can't get off press. Also, the drops don't help and Fine bouncing a few short but that offsets the blame for the drops.
  17. Yes the QB was out of the pocket, yes he took a late slide.. but when you slide feet first your given yourself up and viewed as a defenseless player. This is why he got the flag, along with contact to the head or neck with his shoulder pad. And again, it is a QB so they are almost always going to get the call.. they wear helmets and people do use them as weapons as well(not saying McClain is someone or would do this). But, We all should be thankful that it happened during the 1st half so we have him back for the WKU game. We can debate if it was the right call or the wrong call, but it was up to the replay official to up hold and eject him or let him stay in.
  18. Once again, never said where in the Wing but good we can do some name calling now! But all good focus on that instead the actual call and the reason behind the ejection
  19. I can only image how much bigger the crowd would have been if had beaten UTSA and had a chance at a 6th win. Also, I wonder if any fans stayed away after the Homecoming result last year?
  20. LOL now your bragging about where you sat, but yet I never said where I was sitting at the game... So congrats on that and your great view from 50 yards away at least HAHA But here is the photo again for you to clearly see where McClain is making contact with the head of the QB. http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/sports-headlines/20161105-losing-mcclain-hinders-mean-green.ece But also so you can see the rule and how it is stated here is just a quick bullet point from the rule book, but I will include the link as well Targeting and Initiating Contact to Head or Neck Area of a Defenseless Player (Rule 9-1-4) No player shall target and initiate contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, fist, elbow or shoulder. When in question, it is a foul. (Rule 2-27-14) According to this, what McClain once again did make contact with the Head and Neck region of the QB, who was sliding and thus defenseless. http://www.afca.com/article/article.php?id=2342 McClain clearly makes contact in the photo, so the only argument that could still be valid is if the QB slide to late, which could be true but once again.. Anything dealing with the QB, is more likely to be flagged and that its a judgement call of the officials. But I'm sure if you were to talk to SL about that flags and the officials he would say that UNT can't and should not rely on them to win a game. UNT plan out got beat and yes losing McClain hurt us, but he clearly makes contact which you see in the photo but thank god it was during the 1st half so he will not miss the WKU game. and once again you can commit the tackle but any blow to the head and neck region of a player with your own helmet /forearm or shoulder pad.
  21. Don't you think more bowl teams would lead to more $ for a conference in need of cash..
  22. Any hit to the head or player that is defenseless can be called "Targeting".. Also, the intent can be from McClain running in and diving at the QB that is already sliding... At first it was called "Unnecessary Roughness"(I Believe) then they reviewed it because of the blow to the head of the QB when he was sliding and had given himself up making him defenseless..Also, we all know QBs get the benefit of the call. IF C-USA was stacking the game against UNT that isn't very smart with LA Tech being one of the top programs which should be bowl-bound, they should have stacked it towards us to help us get to 6 wins thus leading to more C-USA teams being able to go to a bowl without the need for APR. Also, UTSA blew out MSTU another one of the C-USA Powers...
