According to whom? I’ve worked for in Austin and lived in the greater Austin area for over 15 years and I have never heard of Interstellar BBQ.

I think Texas Monthly ranked them #2 in Texas last year. You should definitely go try it. It's definitely in my Top 5 I've ever had. They're still pretty new in the BBQ world. I want to say they only opened the storefront in 2019, but I could be wrong.

  2. I'd add that they see it modeled that you move on when you have a "better opportunity" even if they're only at a school a year or two. It's what their coaches do, it's what the administrators at the schools do, etc. The days of coaches/ADs spending their entire career at just a few schools is pretty much over.

But here is someone that questions our ability to accurate count seats in a football stadium.

Not questioning our ability to count seats. I’ve just been around enough construction projects in my career to realize sometimes things just get messed up. I remember there being some club seats they said were on the drawings that ended up just not being there when DATCU opened despite being on all the drawings. There’s a reason home inspectors find things missing or installed incorrectly in new home builds.

  4. I'm sure they know how many seats are supposed to be installed, but with construction/renovation you just never know until it's done. Since they're re-seating the area, it makes sense to me to wait until they're installed and you can see and touch them to make sure. Could you imagine if they ran into something unexpected and a row is short a seat yet they already assigned seats for that row?

Don't think the NCAA saw this tsunami and failed to have guidelines or rules in place.

This should have led to the entire leadership of the NCAA being replaced.

I keep seeing things like this get posted, but the NCAA is doing exactly what the member schools wanted them to do with all of this stuff (stay out of the way). They take their marching orders directly from the member schools. Always have. That’s not new.

  6. At the end of the day, if this turns into ACC vs. State of Florida, I'm putting my money on the State of Florida. My guess is this thing ends up settling for a lot less than the current buyout. Even Texas basically says you can't sue me. Look at what happened with Texas Tech and Mike Leach.

It's also worth noting that the P5 is history. I'll be surprised if the new "division" includes the likes of SMU. SMU will be right back in the "G5" like the rest of us.

That's the mindset of kid's today...get mine now.  Screw the school, the program, the team...I want mine NOW!

I can’t imagine a lot of people here would have cared much about school, the program, etc. if say Brint Ryan came up to them with a check for $500k each of the next 4 years and said, “this is yours whether you graduate or not.”
