  1. When he runs, he's probably the fastest guy on the field. That will help the offense get more creative - GMG!
  2. I wasn't sure before tonight, but I think we have our starting QB
  3. I hope one benefit of the smaller crowd size will be cell phone reception at Apogee during the game - GMG!
  4. Our high school plays in 4A. School has been back in-person for 2 1/2 weeks, the football team has played two games and the full band, cheerleaders, drill team and other spirit squads have performed. Our side of the stands are full but social distanced with masks. So far, no issues for anyone. I question why this can be done on the high school level with kids, but not with 18+ y/o adults who are in college. Oh well, happy to have some version of college football today - GMG!
  5. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/north-texas-vs-houston-baptist-odds-line-2020-college-football-picks-predictions-from-top-expert/ North Texas vs. Houston Baptist: Mean Green -27.5 North Texas vs. Houston Baptist over-under: 65.5
  6. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/houston-baptist-huskies-vs-north-texas-mean-green-prediction-picks-2020 Houston Baptist has the skill on offense to challenge a North Texas defense that struggled mightily a year ago and has to replace five starters from last season's squad. But UNT should be much improved on offense, even with a quarterback controversy, with Littrell now calling the shots. Look for both teams to put up plenty of yards but for the Mean Green to turn that yardage into more points.
  7. So looking forward to being at Apogee tomorrow! #GMG #BeatHBU
  8. You're forgetting about the East German Women's Swimming Championship in 1989 - you can't bump that programming. I've got the VCR queued it and a fresh tape in the machine to record that classic.
  9. Opinions on who covers UNT the best? I know Channel 8 ignores us but I do see stories on the other three stations occasionally. Not sure who the most consistent would be - seems like Channel 11 but maybe I'm missing something on the others.
  10. I'm a UNT grad, so I don't use big words like that
  11. The Dollar General in Celina has a bunch of UNT tees...I have not idea why. GMG
  12. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/college-football-picks-predictions-week-1/1alsqqs3ptzxs1dii4yeek9c76 Houston Baptist at North Texas (No line) North Texas starts life without quarterback Mason Fine, but Houston Baptist offers a tune-up for the Mean Green before C-USA play. North Texas wins 41-14
  13. https://pickdawgz.com/cfb-picks/2020-09-05/houston-baptist-huskies-at-north-texas-mean-green-9-5-20-college-football-picks-and-prediction The quarterback situation for North Texas is worrying, but Houston Baptist just doesn’t have the playmakers to keep this game close. Look for the Mean Green to attack a terrible Houston Baptist defense and that will lead to a win and a cover of the spread.
  14. https://freepicks.picksandparlays.net/more-free-picks/college-football-picks/houston-baptist-at-north-texas-9520-college-football-picks-and-predictions Free NCAAF Pick: North Texas Mean Green North Texas will use its bigger offensive line and talented running backs to establish a running game against the FCS Houston Baptist Huskies and wear down the front four and linebackers as well as open passing lanes to attack downfield. On defense, the Mean Green linebacker duo of KD Davis and Tyreke Davis will prevent Houston Baptist from moving the ball on offense. Final Score Prediction, North Texas Mean Green win and cover ATS 37-7.
  15. it's 2020 so anything goes - I say it's a sellout since all available tickets will be sold.
  16. Yeah, I found the budget discussion interesting. I normally eat somewhere else before coming to the stadium. This year, I feel compelled to spend as much at the stadium as I can. So, I guess I'll download the concessions app and go to the stadium store and spend a few dollars. If several thousand of us do that every home game, maybe the financial hit won't be as bad. GMG!
  17. Yep. They said they are trying to manually catch the double-charges but may miss some. He took care of it while I was on the phone so it was an easy fix. I feel bad for those guys since I know the phone must be ringing off the hook. Oh well - GMG
  18. I called today because they charged me for my "new" tickets after selecting new ones. The guy on the phone said e-tickets and e-parking passes should show in our accounts tomorrow. I don't think we're getting paper tickets this year.

Baker was able to walk us through how the school will be letting fans in through the gates this weekend at 25% capacity, adding that concessions will also have a much bigger emphasis on contactless ordering and delivery.
