  2. SERVPRO here we come! I just hope there aren't breakfast tacos this time...those didn't taste good IMO.
  3. I've decided to "reset" after the difficult lose yesterday. UNT is favored by 4 touchdowns vs. Rice so hopefully we'll have a lot of celebrating to do at Apogee on Saturday! https://sportschatplace.com/cfb-picks/2018/10/27/north-texas-vs-rice-10/27/18-college-football-pick-odds-and-prediction
  4. https://www.capperspicks.com/free-picks/college-football/north-texas-mean-green-vs-uab-blazers-10-20-2018-betting-prediction/ Mason Fine will be the difference maker that propels North Texas to a 29 – 19 road win at Legion Field.

In all honesty, were it not for one game— UAB’s domination of La Tech— this would be an easy call in North Texas’ favor. But the Blazers dominated where North Texas ran neck and neck in a game either team could’ve won. The Blazers clearly have the better run game. The Mean Green clearly have the better passing game. Both defense’s have been playing great in conference games. For once, Vegas is right: This one could be too close to call. Take that, SEC. Prediction: Some Great Damn Football
  7. I must have Googled "North Texas vs UAB" a million times this week! I've read all the "experts" and it seems there isn't a clear consensus of who is going to win and by what margin. That said, I'm going with the Mean Green by 14+
  8. https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/ContentGallery/North-Texas-vs-UAB-Ten-things-to-watch-123484287/#123484287_1 Not too much here we didn't already know, but good summary and score prediction...GMG!
  9. https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/North-Texas-Mean-Green-Mens-basketball-player-preview-Ryan-Woolridge-123468783/ "I said last year that Woolridge was the most important player on this team and I believe that to be true heading into this season. His understanding of the offense and aggression has shown in practices especially from behind the arc. He will still be the one dictating the pace of this team, but he’ll have more weapons and shooters to space and score surrounding him. His speed remains off the charts and his first step is long and can burst past unprepared defenders."

  11. https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2018/10/18/17996404/despite-leading-conference-usa-in-scoring-north-texas-unt-unhappy-with-offensive-production “Offensively, we haven’t reached our full potential yet,” Fine said after the game. “It upsets me, to be honest with you. Our defense has had our back all season, so it’s time for our offense to step up. That’s what we’re gonna do.”
  12. Great analysis! I have one question - aren't both teams basically the same players from last year? If so, we did beat them (at home, and just barely, but still a win). And, we've improved BIG time on the D side of the ball. Therefore, shouldn't this be an easier game for us than the stats are suggesting?
  13. These guys are usually very accurate on their predictions...I hope they're wrong this time. North Texas has the more talented and explosive team, but I’m going with UAB to somehow pull off the win. Mason Fine has a chance to win the game on their last drive but a fourth-down sack gives the Blazers one of their biggest wins in school history. UAB 28 North Texas 24 https://www.underdogdynasty.com/2018/10/18/17986658/choosing-c-usa-week-8-predictions-cusa-football-uab-north-texas-preview-rice-fiu-utep-la-tech
  14. I think experts are taking a closer look at the "who" part of this match-up vs. just game stats up to this point. Underdog Dynasty does the best job at predicting in my opinion, and they should publish their analysis tomorrow. I expect them to say a UNT win by 6+ GMG
  15. The Blazers started off as a one-point favorite at home but the line has shifted to their being a one-point underdog at this point. If you look at the schedules it is clear who has played the superior opposition to this point, and not only that, the team that has (North Texas, duh) has beaten some of that superior competition. Arkansas may be having a down year, but teams like the Mean Green do not typically waltz into SEC country and act like they own the place with buttwhoopin’s like the one they gave the Hogs. Just too much mean in this Green to go any other direction with your play. Prediction: Pick: North Texas -1 https://statsalt.com/games/ncaaf/10-20-2018/north-texas-vs-uab-expert-prediction-3079/
  16. Finally, some real analysis...SU Winner – North Texas, ATS Winner – North Texas, O/U – Over https://www.bangthebook.com/north-texas-vs-uab-free-pick-10-20-2018/
  17. Good article about area programs...this part stood out for me: Who gets your vote for our prestigious SportsDay Midseason Player Of The Year Award*? I'm inclined to go with Fine, who's having a ridiculous year. I don't know if any player is more valuable to their team than Fine is to North Texas. Bell: North Texas was the best story of the first month of the season but got very little national attention. Now that the Mean Green are getting a little national pub, they're slowing down a bit, which is a shame. [Loren] Easly's injury is a killer. But I agree that Fine is the clear non-Kyler choice here. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/collegesports/2018/10/17/texas-texas-am-collision-course-marquee-bowl-game

  19. https://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2018/10/uab_readies_itself_for_biggest.html It'll be strength versus strength as North Texas' conference-leading passing game attacks the Blazers' nationally ranked pass rush and secondary. The Mean Green also boast the second ranked rushing defense in the conference - allowing 97 yards per game - which will line up against Spencer Brown and the second-best rushing attack in the league.

  21. I think this will be a great game. That said, are UAB's stats really that impressive? In looking at how they have played so far, the combined records of those teams are 14 - 25. I realize the same can be said about some of our opponents but this game will probably come down to who wants it more. In that case, it should be a win for the Mean Green.
