There are a number of schools who recruit players that the biggest benefits is a pipeline to the NFL. Players that come to UNT, and MOSY schools realize that it is the academics that are key. They want to graduate, play football/basketball....whatever and move on with a successful life.

QB play was as bad as I have ever seen from any team last year. IF we have a marked improvement, we should be relevant in about 6-7 games....can we win those games????

you still got to try. What does it hurt to reach out to him. He listens and moves on. Larry Bird went to Indiana right out of HS. Spent 1 year at Indiana and wanted to be closer to home. he then transferred to Indiana St. Weirder things have happened....

but why would we not at least reach out to him? We need the mentality of we can get this guy....WHY NOT NORTH TEXAS??? We might just talk to them at the right time....

If we keep scoring, or at least score on 50% of our possessions, that puts a lot of pressure on the other team to match.... True or not, it does not seem to be as tiring when playing from the lead instead of behind. No proof, just experience....from long ago.... IF, we can score early, and hopefully often, I don't think it matters for TOP and the defense....they will be flying all over the place with endless energy....

I am excited, like many of you for this season to start... Last year was.....disappointing at the least. BUT.....there is recent proof that a turn-around can happen fairly quickly. Temple University....similar to UNT 2013 2-10 2014 6-6 2015 10-4 I would be more than happy with these same results!!!!

@UNT90 - People that make comments like the one below that got another thread shut down. That is why we have problems. No solution, just bitch, call people names and threaten them. The blow comment was directed at me... Not a single solution....just manipulation to fit his agenda. Ah, the spin of someone who doesn't want honest, frank conversation. A person who only wants those to believe as he believes. Let's cover some of your previous statements. First you said I wouldn't have the balls to show up at that meeting. I did. I said you wouldn't have the balls to have a conversation with me. You didn't. You accused me of "hiding behind a computer screen." I don't. Nice manipulation of the facts. You don't know me...or anybody I suspect. I can be found at the Pavilion prior to the SMU, and all games. If I get a new parking spot, I may have a small tailgate cook-out for all pre-game festivities. Again, I have no real interest in speaking with somebody that is nothing but negative and manipulates all conversations to fit his agenda. I like the idea. Not sure what is allowed for such things. I have touted giving tkts away for 5 years. Mentioned it to the past staff on several occasions....not on a msg board....maybe my bad for that??? Suggested middle school/High School, even pee wee league teams get a tkt for every player. Fill the wings....

The Kiwanis owned the stadium for the night. They are the ones who rented the facility to put on a show. Great idea, just not the right time....

I sat up front, asked questions to both coaches, and twice asked questions to the consultants. I did not complain about the past, and bitch about the future. Nobody asked more questions than I did. Why would I want to talk to somebody who has nothing but negative things to say about anything? I have better things to do with my time..."Kiss My Ass", "Grow a Pair"? You wonder why I didn't reach out to you? I prefer to talk to people who want to contribute in a positive way, not bitch and complain about everything. if UNT90 would channel that energy into a positive direction, he could actually be an asset! He wonders why/complains that the University wont listen to him..... I did not talk the longest, but did ask the most questions.
