I would ask that you look at all the D1, and lower levels as well, and see how many kids are on the rosters are from Texas. I would bet that Texas puts more HS players on College football rosters than any other state....That being said, we could certainly do a better job of convincing the premium players to stay in the state....

UNT Green Brigade ready for the season

I love to watch the half time show.....Marching bands are as much as college and HS football, as it the football game itself!!! When we weren't getting yelled at during halftime games in HS, I would step out of the locker rooms and watch the bands. Fortunately, we were usually ahead at half time, so not a lot of yelling....but it was the 80's, so it was expected -

UNT Dallas Law School in danger of not getting accredited
MeanGreen_MBA replied to Cerebus's topic in Mean Green Football
many go to law school for the benefit of a business achievement. many start their own law practice, or practice a specific type of law for a corporate function. None of this requires an SMU name plate -
I would love to take Alamaba's spare QB's and RB's, Oregons spare receivers, Ohio State's spare OL's and LB's, LSU's spare DB's, and Wisconsin's spare DL's Kind of the UNT Franken-team. Utilizes others spare parts until we can recruit those same players on our own.... I am ready for other team's to want our spare players......

I am sure there are many young, and not so young professionals that cannot quit work to go to law school, but want to go to law school. I don't know of any unemployed lawyers, and I know many.... As a matter of fact, most of the lawyers I know, make a substantial living compared to most people. Why is this a problem. If I were, 20 yrs younger, I would consider a UNT JD -

Playing, and beating SMU does a lot to advance UNT. We get a huge leg up in local recruiting. Believe it or not, SMU still get some nice recruiting attention. We start beating them on a regular basis, we gather a lot more local attention by coaches, players, news media. even if we trade wins year over year, and they a good competitive games, we draw a bigger local crowd to both facilities....which give us better exposure to better players, who may want to play closer to home. SMU vs UNT is a win-win for everybody.... We have to be more than competitive, and win to make it happen

I agree with this. I would love to keep SMU on the schedule permanently. It makes sense for both school. easy away game....recognition, recruiting....
