  1. Oh I agree! (I posted it right above😀). Just looking at potential options. If they went after someone like him it’d probably be more of a Co-OC thing. My choice would be Mainord but with having to bring an extra assistant in Riley would be intriguing with working under Lincoln and makes sense with a prior connection to Seth
  2. I agree! Let’s hope it’s OC/QB coach. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Mainord move up to OC and a QB coach come in. Not based off of anything but just makes sense to me
  3. I did see that Lincoln Rileys brother Garrett has coached the QBs and TEs over the last couple of years at Kansas and it looks like 1 of his years as a player at Tech overlapped with Seth’s. Was an offensive assistant at East Carolina when Lincoln was OC there so maybe an option?
  4. Let’s hope! I would have thought that a guy like Mainord would be promoted but maybe not
  5. Wren just started following this company on twitter: http://ventura-partners.com/sports-management/ it looks like they do executive searches and the Clemson AD is quoted on the page saying that they help find good coaches...😕
  6. And he actually had a crazy amount of success as a recruiter. Mccarney still doesn’t know what the word recruiting means...
  7. This is why KSU never made sense to me. Eventually the NFL money will persuade Lincoln to go and even if Littrell was able to have quick success at KSU they would make the buyout so high because they know that he wants to go to OU that OU would probably look elsewhere.
  8. Mccarney and Les miles are not even close to being the same when it comes to recruiting because Les knows what the word means I don’t even think Les will do good at KU anyways. What is there to recruit to in Kansas? Fresh corn? With Les’ prominent success and the quality of big name assistants he can hire he can at least field an average 6 win team though
  9. Honestly Seth to KSU didn’t make sense to me for either side. With a senior Fine and the rest of the offense returning there is a legitimate chance to compete for the G5 NY6 bowl spot so his stock would continue to skyrocket while it would take years to be competitive against OU and Texas at KSU. Then with Les Miles being hired across the state KSU needs a big time splash and while Littrell is a great young coach, he can’t compete for recruits with a HC with a NC ring.
  10. Another key recruit that Seth visited the other day that is having his official visit this weekend. All of a sudden the Seth leaving train has lost some momentum. Hopefully KSU hires their HC soon and we can stop talking about a mediocre Big 12 team and focus on the Mean Green!
  11. Another instance that shows just how great Wren is at his job! Getting out ahead of this and trying to clarify while not attacking anyone and just spitting facts. I hope that Seth is the HC for life but things like this show that as long as we have Wren that we will be ok
  12. Littrell was in his house yesterday and scheduled a visit to UNT for this weekend. I think we were a little premature on Seth leaving...
  13. The important information that I included: E.J. Ejiya - LB - #22 - University of North Texas 6’3” - 231 pounds Twitter: @dos_Hendrix Member of the Team Leadership Council 2015 NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention 2017 Honorable Mention All-CUSA 2018 1st Team All-CUSA 2016: 43 tackles, 3.5 tfl 2017: 108 tackles, 12 tfl, 7 sacks 2018: 113 tackles, 23.5 tfl, 9 sacks Tied for 3rd in the nation in TFL for 2018.
  14. E.J. deserves to be in either the senior bowl or the east-west shrine game. He had one of the best individual seasons I’ve ever seen this year and was amazing last year as well. Please send an email to the one under the player recommendation section in the link below: https://www.shrinegame.com/contact After all that E.J. has given to us Mean Green fans on the field the last few years he deserves our efforts to try to get him in one of the premier senior showcases!
  15. When was the last time UNT had a recruit play in a postseason game like this? Excited for him to sign!
  16. I think if anything it’s good news that Biagi has UNT gear on. They wouldn’t be recruiting to KSU with any of them wearing UNT stuff. And it seems like that is just Seth’s uniform. Just look at the photo at the top of the site. It seems that is what he wears when he’s not coaching when he is doing football business. When I met him at the signing day even a few years back he was wearing the same outfit.
  17. I noticed that Les Miles is following him on twitter and he is following Les back so hopefully Kansas doesn’t try to come in at the end. Excited about all of this class but Gaddie, Garrison, and the Murphy twins seem like guys that can step in and be solid contributors right away. Really hope we can hang onto them for just a few more weeks!
  18. As a Tampa Bay Bucs fan I’d look at Todd Monken. Number 1 in yards and top 10 in points scored in the NFL and success as a HC at Southern Miss. Turned Ryan Fitzpatrick into a good QB for a few weeks. Unfortunately I think he’s done well enough that if the staff is fired in Tampa (which I think is looking less likely) he’ll probably get an OC job somewhere else in the NFL.
  19. Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Mainord and Neal Brown both coached together at Kentucky before Brown went to Troy. So if SL left and we got Brown maybe we’d be able to keep Mainord which would be big for recruiting.
  20. His rating got bumped up to .8527. He is now the highest ranked commit in the class and 7th highest in the recruiting rating system era at UNT! He is now the 980th player nationally, 101st CB, and 132nd in TX! He definitely looks like a steal! Here is an article from 247 (vip required reading) that discusses him having a great senior year and being a ratings riser: https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/Article/Thoughts-on-a-few-North-Texas-Mean-Green-football-commits-standing-out-this-fall-124061991/
