I actually think we're making a bigger deal out of the student fee thing than it is. They already get $14M from student fees compared to our $13.2M. It was a "no" to an increase, not a "no" to student fees.

I got it..but IMO it shows a lack of commitment of the students. Did not the the NT students vote to increase the athletics fees several years ago or am I dreaming...wonder if they would now.

No way. Anytime you have someone who supervises others, you get rid of the supervisor if you get to a place where you can’t trust them to make hiring and firing decisions. And I am a really long way from getting rid of Morris.

He may make a change or he may not. My guess is he won’t this year. They have personnel upgrades that need to be made in the off-season, and I think they’ll play out next year and re-evaluate.

Also, it’s not like they took over a top 50 defense.

'They'.. will not fire anyone...I know that.

This is the 2023 version of what we've seen before. Maybe Morris pulls it to gather. I hope so.

  3. 20800 on Smut homecoming

    18062 on NT homecoming

I like to think if NT was in contention we would of had more show up. But NT had a lot more than expressed by the beginning of this thread. I was pleasantly surprised and many stuck around after halftime I thought.

Seth never learned how to make halftime adjustments or how to use time outs! IMHO

But Morris has?? Seems that's been one of his criticisms on here this year.

Hey...Seth had topped out at NT. Mosely was going to hire the next step for head coach to get us to the promised land. IT DIDNT HAPPEN. This wasn't suppose to be a total rebuild.

Hopefully...in a couple years Morris will have us there. Right now he has 5 games to make us look forward to next year.

    Just my opinion

…..Seth Littrell would’ve lost this game by 30.

He still has a lot to learn as a young HC, but he has cajones

But Seth would of beat FIU and perhaps Navy....and not so much as by 30. Morris was the next step...no he isn't...he's on a learning curve just like Seth was when he got here. Time will tell after this year..maybe next year after the 'Rebuild'..

But Morris has 5 games left to shut up the doubters.

Embarrassing. People don’t care about North Texas Athletics. That’s the truth.

Mosley is a heck of a salesman...he had a bunch of folks buying in to Morris. Bill Utter should be ready to offer him a used car sales position. The season didn't start as hoped..people moved on. Those people and a 11:00am start you get 13000. What really is depressing is watching all the Band Parents leave after the halftime show.

    WE WON!

  7. So Morris isn't the next step for NT Football as it was billed. Remember Mosley advertised and hired Morris. I think the problem goes further up the chain.

Bottom line..2-3 years of so called putting Morris game plan in place which to me looks similar to that of recent coaches we've had. NT never gets out of the rebuilding process.

A NT fan has to be in it for the long haul...decades long haul.

BTW...when was the last time NT won a football Championship....oh nearly two decades ago by a Darrell Dickey team...LOL
