This will be the first year I take my boy to a UNT game... So a very happy fathers day year. My daughter wasn't as into it... But really looking forward to some solid games with my son!

His history of our program is wrong.
How so? Seems pretty accurate. Maybe a tad generalized, but you can't cover every year of a historic program like ours
I think it was just about spot on

Get out of her with your fancy wheels and modern tools. We only worship monoliths and use bone weapons in new denton. Trying to be all fancy and new age...

Never understood why so many of us are against Bert's coverage. Guy has always been consistent and prompt, I enjoy the reads, and the Mean Green coverage is literally the only reason to have a DRC subscription for me

In my mind, we should expect our offense to decline in numbers, simply because our defense HAS to improve. Unless our D becomes a 3 and out monster, time of possession will equalize, our offense will look leaner, all that business.
The point is, I don't care if our offense holds their same numbers or gets less. They were always on the field because our D was coughing up more blood than a 1750's French prostitute.
For Seth's future, the offense is not the key or the issue (it could be better still, but that's definitively where his talent lies). It's whether he can field a complete team. He hasn't yet. Defense wins championships. Offense gets you clicks on ESPN.

He will only get better as the season rolls on. I believe our QB position is in good shape regardless of who wins out. Maybe both.
GO MEAN GREEN!
Oh please not both. Sharing QB has always been a disaster, for us and most teams(not named ohio state).
Pick a known constant otherwise its a binomial probability with enormous risk and minimal gain based on development. Splitting that development just movies you closer to a net zero gain...

there were four SEC a teams in the final CFB Playoff rankings Top 10 last year. It’ll be interesting to see what that kind of scenario would do to the rest of CFB. How would we, or even other P5 conferences, feel if one-third of the 12-team playoffs are SEC?
Monkeys paw: you get 4 of your conference teams in the play off
Monkeys paw curls: you also get to watch those teams get chewed apart by a strong G5 team, making your conference look weaker by comparisonMore isn't better sometimes. I'd rather have my 2 strongest teams go toe to toe than see a couple of them fall to "lesser" schools

Too bad. A ZOOM Coaches Caravan sounds as exciting as a ZOOM New Year’s eve party.
Yeah. Just wait until your kids meet a partner on zoom. Get married in zoom. Adopt a gender fluid kid in zoom. Only to die (on zoom) learning their 108 year old haitian wife was greenjoe all along

Sorry to see them zooming this. Wouldn’t it be much better to do both in person?
2019 called. It wants its social justification back.
Its odd to me, but this is the world now. Virtual is the new live. Scary to think what comes next...

She isn't even allowed on UH's website, so she comes over here to attempt throwing shade.
2019:
UH average attendance was 64% of TDECUXYVQZ Stadium's capacity
UNT's average attendance was 69% of Apogee's capacity.
Stats are fun.

From a purely spectator standpoint, I would love to watch these games. Pure entertainment value.
Pragmatist in me says that anyone outside of top 5 or 6 will just decide to sit out for NFL draft until the playing field is leveled. It'll still just be clemson/alabama/ou/ohio...whatever.
Doesn't solve the problem, but it's a foot in the door.

SL is widely respected for his offensive mind. It's not out of the question that they overlook the 3 years of mediocrity. Someone out there could think, "he has figured it out."
I could see him getting hired as an OC at a p5, again, but that's not his career trajectory. No one is going to look at him (at this stage) and say he's a complete head coach package though.

I doubt many see this happening given the schedule. So in that sense your criteria seems unrealistic. Other than that I agree with you premise.
It may be unrealistic, but compared to what we are paying him vs the others, it *should* be realistic. Earn what you make!

If he’ll “opt out” in high school, he’ll “opt out” in college too. Not the mentality I’d want to add to my team.
To play devils advocate.... Thanks to insane NFL salaries and now CFB likeness income... The risk is now in not opting out. They are making the smarter risk averse decision. So it's not really their fault, its a broken system.
Any MBA will tell you this is the logarithmic result of a very simple equation: do you have the probability to gain more by sitting or by playing?
Blame the system not the product

I would be overjoyed to see Bean succeed and blow things up for Kansas. He didn't work here, and obvious maturity issues were there. But I would never wish ill upon a young man doing better for himself. I'll be cheering him on as long as we aren't playing them.

Agreed. I think we really need for SL to blossom as we have invested way too much money and time into him to let him go now.
I don't disagree but that's also buying into the sunk cost fallacy. Do you keep pouring money into that drain or pull it? I really hope he blossoms. There are sparks.

Best qb combo we have seen in a very long time. I expect Rudder to dominate C-USA. GMG
I have unrealistically high hopes for Rudder, but I also remember Morris a couple years ago. Night and day I think since Rudder seems to have a much higher ceiling

I kinda gotta disagree with #5
5. There is no pressure on UNT in 2021
In my (not so popular) opinion, this is a HUGE pressure year for Littrell. If he can't get us out of a 2 year hole then he's looking for a new job. The recruits are stellar. We have some great talent, coaching changes (again), and the stars should be aligning for us. I welcome a resurgence, but the pressure most definitely should be on and high.

Slightly off topic... But the highlight reel of Mr Irrelevant (dead last draft pick) was against UNT. We had more highlight reels of getting lit up than performance for us... Coaches should be ashamed. I expect a ton of eyerolls but this is our reality.
