Littrell, Harrell, Bennett.  Geez, that is the making of a P5 level staff.

As much as I'm waiting for SL to get shown the door, I have to admit I'd be very very interested (and lightly aroused?) to see that scenario play out..

Our current run game, Harrell's air game/QB development. The great wall of Bennett...

There are some folks on here that want to throw away 2.5 years of painful football because we won 5 games against teams with an overall record of 26-34 (and that includes beating 11-1 UTSA!!).   That, to me, seems like maybe you & those folks are the ones without objectivity, basing it more on 'what-have-you-done-for-me-lately?'.

That's a real big strawman. I don't think 95% of the folks here want Seth back next year.

But, The REALITY is he will be here barring any surprise changes. At this point we are accepting the reality, and discussing the best steps forward. Is it a new QB? new WRs? Prettier cheerleaders? Less clowns on the GMG.com?

Seth will be here. We want him to blow the doors off and prove us all wrong. THAT is reality right now. You see failure, only expect failure. and yes, maybe it will be failure

At this point, the "burn the whole thing down" bandwagon is just noise. We are 99% stuck with Seth, and yelling louder ain't changing it. I'd rather just ride the high than keep yelling at the clouds.

Morris almost won us a bowl game. Let’s go a little easier on the guy, ok?

He also got replaced out of the gate by some scrawny kid from Oklahoma no one had heard of. Anyone remember that guy?

(I kid, Alec did a great job picking up the pieces at season end. But we had ALL anointed this 'Bama QB as the savior of UNT football after the..ugh..Mcnulty years)

So you have to be drunk to expect something better than 0.500 in year 6 without any conference championship or bowl wins? 🙄 I enjoy “not sucking” but just “not sucking” isn’t the standard here.  Hey maybe you are 100% right and I am a fool.  Maybe alumni who are sports fans that don’t come to the games know that “not sucking” is the standard here.  Playing spoiler to program that started in 2011 with a second year head coach is our high water mark?  To anyone without ties to UNT or deep knowledge of G5 football history that sounds pathetic.  Hell hand him another extension because he ain’t Todd Dodge while we are at it. 🙄

Yeah. Kinda proving my point my friend. Go play a game. Relax. Your heart will thank you.

No he has earn the right not to be fired mid-year.  Empty trophy case, 0.500 season, and a career record of one game over or below 0.500 depending on a bowl.   So actually believe that 6 years with a one game under 0.500 record earns a head coach something?    The only reason this is a debate is that he is under contract already.  The only “anti-Littrell” talk her is just referencing his actual record.  Al that “coach mumble” and sideline demeanor talk is just useless BS from frustrated.  A two thirds empty stadium to watch a 10-0 conference rival go down wasn’t what anyone hoped for 6 years ago when he was hired.

Its sunday. Lay off the sauce my friend. Spend it with family, not johnny walker.

Wren was never going to fire SL this year unless the wheels fell completely off.

Gods we were close though, weren't we?

If we truly are a QB and WR away from our goals, then give Seth a year. No extensions until he gets a conference champ win and a bowl win

Darrell Dickey lost in the bowl game that year, but won the bowl game the next year by beating Cincinnati.

I was there for that Colorado loss. At least I think so... Bourbon street and all that.

They didn't.  This is probably the most baffling thing to me.

NUTSACK brought nothing after halftime.  Zero adjustments.  Zero energy. And a new QB.  Really odd and not indicative of a championship team.  Gonna be curious to see the post-game interviews on their end.  This is a massive blow to the aura that Traynor had this season.

They were never that great. Good, sure. But strength of schedule was really bad overall
