  1. Maybe she was already recruiting him to UNT, dad!
  2. I'm interested to see who will replace SMU in our nonconference schedule. I wonder if we would bother continuing a rivalry with LA Tech year in and year out, or if Wren's plans are bigger.
  3. But, but, we could get national recognition for playing SHIT and playing like SHIT in the same game!
  4. Get my rear on the record now Burt... 6-6 before losing in the new Farrington Football Classic in Fort Worth to South Harmon Institute of Technology. In front of a raucous crowd of 8,000.
  5. I was planning on a friend trip to Vegas, but my wife decided to get pregnant and she is due on September 20th. Maybe Memphis, San Antonio, or Birmingham.
  6. Even if we lose at UTEP, which I assume we will, at least we will get some rhythm before the SMU game and hopefully not sh*t the bed at home. I'm going to predict 6-6. Even if we're only 3-3 at the break, I don't think that'll sink us. LA Tech and FAU are at home. UTSA is not on Thanksgiving weekend so that'll give more Green fans the ability to travel.
  7. I love studying population numbers and it's crazy that 19 states lost population between from year-to-year, even with the pandemic... considering that only 3 states lost population from 2010 to the 2020 censuses.
  8. Now there will only be two teams in the league we won't play in 2022, so everyone should have a relatively balanced schedule.
  9. And maybe we'd just have to have an expansion plan in place. Of course in general, college athletics' attendance is going down. In a few years, UNT will have a bigger arena than Baylor and would have an arena of equal or greater size than four teams in the new Big 12. And the three smallest football stadiums in the new Big 12 will be from the four new additions (Albeit, they all seat at least 40,000 and not 30,000..)
  10. North Texas. Give SMU a fatal kick to the nuts.
  11. Now we as fans need to do our part to keep him here for the long run by showing up. I don't care if we're playing NCTC, I want to see at least 4,000 at the home opener next season. I believe the Maniacs are getting funds from the school to keep this thing going. I heard they would be a part of freshman orientation to get the next generations to know that we're a basketball school!
  12. And hopefully one day we'll be one of the programs key players at other programs transfer to for their last years.
  13. Guess I'm the only one here not a fan of Coach K. Of course they'll let him go out on top. Final Four match-up against UNC will be the icing on top. Duke will pull it out in overtime. I was much more intrigued with last year's finalists, 3 of the last 4 teams vying for their first national championship. This year's line-up is disappointing. If I had to choose, my preference of winners would be North Carolina, Villanova, Kansas, Duke.
  14. And as many fans at the LA Tech basketball game as there was at the bowl game.
  15. That is too bad. But best of luck to Dowling. This is my other fear. Most of us seem to agree that Hodge would make a great replacement if Mac leaves. But what if all of his assistants get swooped up, then Mac leaves? Of course, Wren could just make another great hire, but still.
  16. Please change the title of your thread until SMU has announced a replacement coach. Thanks, mgmt.
  17. Is this new? I thought you forgo your eligibility if you declare and don't get drafted?
  18. Can you confirm a name change to the Purple Nurples to accommodate?
  19. So I heard we're only wearing grays in 2022? @ADLER, any insight?
  20. And no shame, some of those boos would be from me. If he were to actually take a step up to a bigger, prominant program, I'd cheer for him but SMU doesn't make sense except for of course the number SMU may be willing to pay.
