Morris has now hired 3 OL coaches as head coach. the combined fbs ol coaching experience between the 3…. O years now one is OL coach at Tx State. Will be P5 in the next 2 years the other is at Mississippi St. Leftwich is the 3rd. His brother was hired by Morris as well. His resume was almost identical except for one year as a hs oc. This off season his name has been thrown around for Utep Hc job and Baylor OC. We can all question the defensive hires. But as far as on the offense he has my confidence until proven wrong.

This has been discussed a hundred times I feel like. I guessing there was some hard feelings. Morris leaving after a 11 win season to go be an assistant coach. Kinne rides in on white horse. I am sure same goes for assistant coaches. I know his OC and OL coach were Morris’s guys. I’m sure there is more on staff as well.

It was beneficial that he was able to cherry pick one of the top 4 fcs teams in the country. Virtually all guys Morris recruited after HS. That will help jump start a rebuild. Just like Austin Peay coach is doing at utep. What dykes did at TCU. I don’t know what apology we would owe spav. Since over 50 new guys were brought in.

a couple things. 1) I think going straight portal recruiting would be career suicide for Morris in Texas. Spavital learnt that the hard way at TX ST. I think recruiting should be 50/50 half hs kids and half a combo of portal and juco. 2) You don't have to have a million dollar NIL to compete. Alot of schools are grabbing talent without having to pay an arm and leg. It all comes down to evaluations. Outside of SMU, USF and Memphis there wasn't a ton of nil money being thrown around in the american confernce.

And about 15-20 kids more already committed and about a dozen of kids coming on campus this week. Literally everyone in the country is having to deal with the portal right now. There is already 3000 kids in the portal. And we havent played the first bowl game. There will be almost 6000 kids in when all is said and done. There are only a little over 11,000 availlible fbs schollys.
