  1. I think any of the top 7 could legitimately win the tournament. I would be very scared of UNT (if we get healthy) and Memphis.

  3. When the big boys beat up on each other in conference it’s because the conference is deep, but when mid-majors do it, it’s because the conference is weak.
  4. He should play when he’s cleared to play. Why leave a healthy starter on the bench? Edit after reading @Greendylan post. I agree. By being cleared to play, I meant that as being 100%.
  5. The AAC has 7 teams that should be either NCAA or NIT. Based on only 3 teams listed in the NIT and no way 4 get in the NCAA, a couple of teams may get left out in the cold.
  6. Stating the obvious here, but 6-0 is the ceiling and 4-2 is the floor. Not much room for error.
  7. I saw Pat Benatar there in about ‘88. Not sure where that stands in the greatest moments at the Super Pit🤣🤣🤣
  8. Who knew a middle of the pack AAC team would be discussed as a possible NCAA tournament darkhorse.
  9. I guess we’re officially middle of the pack, but the difference between #1 through #7 is so, so small. There is absolutely no margin for error, yet we’re still competing against the best in the conference. I would be interested to see a stat that shows how many minutes of each game each team in the conference has been winning. It’s maddening how much we’ve been leading in most conference games only to lose in the end. And I’d say missing two starters, or lack of depth, play a big part in that.
  10. On another note, Davis drains a well defended, off balance 3 pointer to beat us. Tonight he throws up a brick late in overtime.
  11. 1-7 in the AAC are very evenly matched. It’s a shame that probably 4 or 5 of these team will be left out of the NCAA tournament.
  12. Honestly and no sarcasm here at all. I love the fact that a 5-7 record with most losses by less than 7 points means the ship has sunk. As a former coach once told me, “I’ll never apologize for having high expectations.”
  13. The ship is sinking because our LB coach is taking the same job at Iowa St? I didn’t realize the LB coach was such a valuable commodity.
  14. Agreed. 7-8 man rotation is what I’d think is pretty much the norm as far as players getting significant minutes.
  15. Wow! When I saw the thread title, I wondered what this had to do with UNT football. Pleasantly surprised.
  16. We lost to FAU on a buzzer beater, lost to UAB in overtime, and lost to USF by 5. All of this while having key players out with injuries. Had we been playing the weaker teams in conference during this stretch, we probably could have survived it. Just happened to have to play the best teams in conference when the injury bug bites. I don’t think you’re as accurate in your prediction as you give yourself credit for.
  17. Greatness🤣🤣🤣
  18. I don’t know how many times Davis had an answer after we hit a big bucket. Several times in the 2nd half I was thinking, “I don’t care if they hit a 3, just don’t let it be Davis that hits it.” And the game winner!?!? He’s off-balance, it’s well defended to avoid fouling him…and still…swish. That guy would be so fun to watch if you were an FAU fan, but it was maddening to watch him yesterday. That being said, I thought we outplayed them and definitely proved that we belong.
  19. When the argument over who was best is between Darrell Dickey and Seth Littrell…well that’s kind of like being the tallest midget (or possibly something more politically correct). So I guess that kind of makes @Mean Green 93-98 correct.
