I understand your point, I guess I need to be a little more clear. Backups are indeed important but at this position, the drop off from 2nd and 3rd string is hardly the edge of the cliff, on this years team.That's what he's trying to say.

I have definitely seen enough of Greer this year! Would love nothing more than to see DW take the start this week and get some real game time of run and pass, with more pass, zone read. Give him at least 3 quarters but if it's NT by 30 plus late, ask that he only passes to avoid higher risk of injury or just take him out completely. Then put in mini Mac. If DW does well let the team be run by DW against Indiana. It doesn't have to be the entire playbook, just give him half the plays and make sure he has those down. We can build on them week to week. It's my guess that the responsibility week to week will get him more focused in practice and etc. My thoughts at least. Definitely done seeing Greer, what a nightmare!

I think this would look great and I'm a big fan of the new age look too! This actually does relate to QB play and all other positions actually. Today's youth want to play somewhere they have nice things to wear, where they play on national tv and in front of their family and friends. If it wasn't a big deal then why is almost every university doing it! Believe it or not but Oregon's program used to be one of the worse football teams in the country. Fast forward 6-8 years later with all the Nike support and they are ranked #2 in the country right now!! Many top kids from Texas go all the way to Oregon to play ball! Not saying we have to be Oregon but lets not kid ourselves, they are doing something right! We all saw how excited our guys were last year when they introduced the black jerseys for the Rice game!! They came out excited, played with enthusiasm, and kicked some Owl tail! The uniforms are for the kids. We recruit top kids and sell them on why its fun and exciting to play at NT. With their help they can make a difference in Mean Green football and they will look good doing it! Like the videos this year that showed each of the new recruits with a NT jersey on with their name on it! It's not the most important thing but it's a piece of the winning puzzle or formula!

I don't think that is totally fair. I think we have a great Defense, Good special teams, and what could be a good Offense.... If we could find someone with some balls and leadership skills at QB!

Next week will be interesting to say the least. We will find out if we have one or if the defense is going to have to do make it happen! Slightly unfair because I think special,teams and our RBs did a great job as well. QB's were to blame for this crap tonight. Can't wait to see what happens next week
