If MrJones wants to play spring football then maybe we should help lead them in that direction with a huge beatdown showing how far they have fallen, and show them who the leading team in the metroplex really is no matter what some think. Since SMU also plays TCU we should make certain we give them a larger beatdown than they get from TCU to show the metroplex just why TCU is afraid to play us and lose to the Mean Green. GO UNT.

I got a long e-mail response late yesterday from Gary Leavell from the DMN stating they no longer give any of the area schoolsas a few years ago and that few readers are ever happy with the amount of cov r age they get. He said they probably tun as many or more btiefs about UNT thsn any other school since Brett is ddedicated only to UNT. I answered him today telling I see more every year why their readership continues to fall, and that I am in retail and if we didn't furnish our customers wwhat they want they go somewhere else. I also told him it is odd that Brett has told me he furnishes them stories nesrly daily and they rarely print half of them, so some one is full of somrthing that doesn't smell to good. Anyway we need to not let this rest. I feel we may end up with a decent article in tomorrows paper about the Conference U.S.A. meetings today. Keep up the fight, and GoMEANGREEN.

I just sent the DMNews a long e-mail berating them about Overlooking us. I also let them know I live in Waco and subscribe to the paper and how poor the coverage of UNT has gotten over the years. Back before about 2005 we had a large article each week on Thursdays in the Sports section, but it has gotten to be less and less. The best writeup we have gotten in 5 years is when we won the Dallas Bowl game this year. Just watch out UNT is on the rise we will see the day in the near future when the Mean Green will be a team to be feared. I feel coach will use This article as well as others which have been printed to Get the team motivated. Coach Fry taught him how to get a team up, and he knows it well. Maybe not this year, but next year get ready for a 10 to 11 win season.

Unt can do strang feats sometimes we ith coach directing things. You can beat he eill have us a good game plan. Just wait and see all of you will be surprised. Go A Mean Green beat U T. Which has the same abreviation as Tennessee, and you know E hat happened when our coach Fry team went snd played them UPSET.

We need to keep scheduling the service academy's I.e. Army, Navy, and Air Force. Also have we not tried to get A BYU or Boise, or even Vanderbilt to come here to play. I would take any of them on a home and home.

I would rather go to HOD Bowl again or even New Mexico bowl than the bowl game in Hawaii where a lot of fans can't get off their jobs and go. Somebof us in retail can't get off to go to Hawaii.

I continue to be amazed that we cannot get a one and one with a big named school. I think coach might be able to eventually do that with all of his connections. Only time will tell.

I truely expect most of our players to come into summer practice in good condition since they are now used to coaches expectations. I do not expect more than maybe a one game difference (won-lost record)between last year and this fall due to our coaches stiff regimine on conditioning and follow thru on plays. I believe coach will have us pleasantly surprised at how we play. We WILL NOT lay down to Texas and will have another Georgia game.
