I would take SWTexas State and have them come to Denton in 2015 which would give us 6 home games. And then start the schedules over the next year like we had to do a few years back. They bring good crowds and it would start another rivalry, and another close game when we had to go to San Marcos.

It is amazing how some forget how great it was last year after foraging in the wilderness of football for 10 years. As stated previously. No team has a great year every year. There are ups and downs. Next year will be better. This is not a Dodge coached team and coach Mack will right the ship. A lot of you will be very surprised next year. This is growing pains this year.

Another example look at Baylor, Northwestern State and Buffalo which are two examples. We are just playing the game like some of the bigger schools. We are just used to playing the money games and not the cupcakes like the big schools do.

I say about 17,500 and the finsl scorr of 45 to 7.

For years we all griped about never being on TV. Now we are on like the big boys at 11:00 a.m. so the whole nation Can see us and now we gripe about the esrly start time. We can't hsve it both ways. Do we want TV or do we just want to always play at 6:00 and never hsve TV.

I got the call Tuesday afternoon and I let some friends listen to it. They thought it was a neat way to stir up Intrest for the game.

Ijust saw the line on the SMU game Saturday is UNT by 4.

No matter what some of you thought I did see some good signs from the team last night. I saw a defense (very young) who didn't quit. It was a defense which was outweighed by 52 pounds per man who was able to get 4 sacks on the Texas quarterback and a number of hits on him as well as many hurries. They didn't give up any 80 yard passes like we used to, and they played the whole game. It was a defense who had been talked about as being so young they would take time to gel. Well, I think they gelled pretty good makking Texas go four downs to score from the 3 yard line of which they didn'score on two down from the 1 yard line.

The Waco paper her predicts it won't be that essy for Texas but they will pull away in the fourth quarter and win by 19. With the score of 43 to 23.

Looking forward when I fly to Montana next week to go hunting of wearing my MeanGreen shirt, and coat. I fly on Delta thru Salt Lake City, so I think I will get some coments since BYU plays Texas next weekend.

I get it free here in Waco on my Grande Cable, and have already set to record it. I was there on the 45 yard line 21 rows up among more UNT fans than UNLV fans on their side, and we gave all of them he__. They were goods sports about it though. I told them they would score first and it would be close at the half and we would take off the second half, which is exaxtly what happened.

My friend in Austin in the know says Strong is still pushing the just score 50 and beat us by at least 5 TD's. I only hope coach gets the team up like he is capable of and that we have another Georgia game on our hands and we show the world UNT is a team to be feared. I don't think Texas has that much speed like NT since they are in a weakened state right now with the suspensions and hurt players.

As I have stated numerous times watch out for Ivory. He will play Un a lot this year.

I think Willie Ivory on a punt return. Just wait until all of you see what Willie can do and how fast he is.

I think the reason they are showing us respect is because Mac rotated so many players in an out they figure we will just continue on with what we have especially the offensive line which is well respected and some of the good freshmen and just continue on like we were last year. There is a lot of respect for Mac out there no matter what some might think and they figure he will just reload and continue on. Mac has that tv reputation from Iowa State that once he gets a program going It will be fairly good every year.

We need to kick butt and take names. Just remember everyone. REVENGE 1988.

I believe what he told me he has been right ever since Strong was hired. I hope coach puts this on the board to get the team even more fired up, and hope we have another Georgia game.

I have a friend who makes some of their practices and is in With the players. He says the goal in the North Texas gsme is "Just hit 50", and coch Strong has told the team for evrry point they don't beat us by 4 touchdowns (28 points) theyhave to run a fourty. For example a 14 point win they run 14 fourty yard dashes. They are evidently pretty certain about beating us badly. I just can't see it myself. What does everyone else think?

I believe a high student turnout plus about 2,000 from SMU and we will end up just over 30,250 which is very close to a sellout and more than the Houston game.

I kept telling all of you about Ivory, he is the real deal. He did everything at Sulphur Springs, who wasva playoff team every year and won state when he was a sophmore. My job carried me up there a couple of times a year and they had replays of the games on the local tv station. That is how I saw him and was pleased when we got him.

Got my tickts yesterday also, very neat packet, and looks very big time. I showed them to a friend of mine who has Baylor tickrts and he was impressed at how they looked.

Does anyone know what the service that projected us to be 9-3 last year has projected us this year? One thing seems to be playing out is that we seem to have a lot of players steping up and are doing a great job. If this continues we might very well be looking at an upset on August 30 th which would shock the football world to its core. Another thing which looks like it is playing out as I projected Willie Ivery from Sulphur Springs will be the real deal as well as Rutherford and his counterpart from Carthage. The way it is playing out running backs and the defensive line will turn out not to be a problem like we thought due to players stepping up and taking over. If this does truely happen like it looks next year will truely be special and could be the first time UNT has a top 25 team in years. Just remember after this year a lot of teams in the conference graduate a large numbrr of seniors I.e. Marshall and UTSA.

As I stated in a previous post. We will have a decent 7-5 or 8-4 record this year and then next year when our experience is back WATCH OUT you might be looking at a 9-3 or a 10-2 record not counting the bowls each year. I feel After our record next year we will be back playing in The Cotton Bowl like last year vs a big ten team, and beating them. And only then will we start gaining respect. Just wait and see. UNT is back and will really be back next year with more experienced players and depth.

Ok guys here goes out on a limb. I just hope it doesn't get sawed off. We are able on imotion alone come up with a 3 point win over Texas, then beat SMU, Nichols State, And then lose a tough one to Indiana. Then we beat LaTech, FAU, FIU, UAB, UTEP, So.Miss, and lose to Rice bearly and UTSA in the last minutes. We rhen go to the New Mexico Bowl and beat Colorado State for a 10 and 3 record, but wait till next year, we willreally surprise everyone. Go UNT Go NORTH TEXAS

After reading Brett's blog I was wondering if anyone knows if the MacWorter player is any kin to the MacWorter who used to play I think at U. T. Does anyone out there know? Also looks as if coach pulled off another great Friday Night lights, and got at least three comitments from it. You go coach and keep uping the prestige of UNT and in a couple of years we will be the next Boise. Just wait and see. If we give coach the time just as he said "This is only the beginning.
