Does UNT have any process where it routinely checks with its student athletes to see if they have gotton in over their heads financially? Getting them the food they need, medicines, etc. if they have mismanaged their accounts?

I do believe the UNT offensive line is going to be killer-crazy this Saturday. I don't envy the smu D-line prospects.

Glad the Pony band is coming, it really adds to the game day experience to have both bands.

I didn't get a call last year for Idaho, but did just get a Mac call. I am a season ticket holder.

The only thing I really saw last night that was totally broken was the performance by both QB's. Now thats a really big "only thing". I believe Greer was a deer in the headlights playing at DKR, and McNulty didn't really surprise me. Solve the QB problem and this team will take off.

We in Mean Green land know it's a David vs Goliath game again, but hey, I'm proud of UNT's heart and soul these days, and they are well coached. UNT is not a sloppy push over - guarantee you, we'll be proud of them when they get back to Denton.

I met Hayden Fry when he first came to NT and I was a new student accustomed to NT never, NEVER, winning football games. I crossed his path on Highland Ave. when he was going to the Athletic Office there on the corner. I said "Hi Coach Fry, how are we going to do this weekend?" He took one quick look at me and proclaimed "we're gonna win!" I said to myself, "sure, sure, at least he thinks positive." Well, NT did win that weekend and the rest is history. I started attending every practice, every game, every pep rally then...and guess what, I see the same thing happening for UNT now with Coach Mac. Fry and Mac have something SPECIAL. Enjoy it people, doesn't come along that often.

Enough of this nonsense !! If Perry goes away and UNT wins CUSA then it's Coach Mac for Governor."You all can go to hell, I'm going to (North) Texas". Davy Cogido

Agree with Harry's above post on June Jones. Jones sitting in a Dallas club trying to figure things out over a glass of wine is pretty hometown, none the less, "life is GREATER in the Metroplex with Coach Mac any day, HANDS DOWN"

What's new about greed? OK, I didn't get a full scholarship to continue playing football after high school, my bad luck. I got to go to a war, survived, used the GI Bill ( which didn't pay for EVERYTHING either) and I also worked to make ends meet and went to NT full time and graduated. Now I spend big bucks on UNT athletics which I love, BUT, I'm disappointed in Derek's lawsuit because it's just another example of "give ME, ME, ME more." Greed sucks, whether it's the Universities or the players, ALWAYS HAS, ALWAYS WILL. GMG.
