Well, when a man and a woman have had too much to drink, they hook up. Due to their intoxicated status, they forget to use a condom, and the man doesn't know how to pull out.  Then the woman forgets that she is out of "Plan B".  Nine months later, they have a baby.  6 months after that, I'm getting called to their house repeatedly for domestic violence calls because neither one can act like a fking adult. Then I have to explain to one that the other has established residency and does in fact live there, despite that they don't pay any bills or their name isn't on the lease, and I can not "make them leave".

Rudy - you probably just made 75% of the posters on this board turn real pale and flush their Johnny Walker Red .    I’m going to print and frame your post and put it in the men’s room at DATCU stadium.  GMG 🤠

What brought them here was 2 good teams competing against each other with an added bonus of the opponent being local.

Nobody did anything extra to get people out other than both of them being good. As long as that is the focus, attendance will naturally improve.

You’re right about it being two good teams that brought the crowd out  - but BOTH of these  universities and their fans want to get top billing in the Metroplex and thump their chests as such.  This year UNT won the LOCAL THRILLA’  IN MANILA .  So for now the Mean Green faithful can brag and that’s what makes it fun.

The lawsuit alleges a Texas Tech booster bought alcoholic drinks for Isaacs and a teammate. They were in a room with two girls, ages 17 and 16. The lawsuit says Isaacs and the 17-year-old went to another room, where she was sexually assaulted after she "attempted to fight him off."

According to the lawsuit, Texas Tech coach Grant McCasland was contacted by the plaintiffs Dec. 14. McCasland reported the situation to athletic director Kirby Hocutt and other university officials, it says.

Texas Tech did not immediately respond to ESPN's request for comment.

Didn’t Joe Paterno at Penn State get in trouble for “only” reporting alleged sexual abuse to the “Athletic Director” ?

You are right, they should be. What they are doing is getting an education in sport, so they can try to make it to the big time.

The vast majority of these college players will NEVER see the light of day in the NFL or NBA.   If we completely drop the focus of getting a viable education will we not then just be paying kids to play ball in college and then go into the unemployment line ?

I'm in 106 on row 4 yelling every game. Apologies to the older man and his people that sit in front of me. I'm sure he gets tired of me yelling this is Freaking Horrible, Freaking hit someone. Stop arm tackling. It's an every week occurrence. Also, it seems every opposing team (except Temple) has had fans on my row.

Really says it all.  I think everyone of us in 106 have yelled “ hit someone and stop arm tackling .”  It’s been that kind of season.  Marcus Trice is gone and so are the Big Bang hits.

  6. My son and I have been in 106 since Apogee opened.  Great seats. We have very good full field view and we don’t lose any down field play action. Close enough to the players to see what all they’re doing on the sideline, coaches players etc.  The surrounding fans have been great, active but they don’t puke all over you. It’s been fun…now if we could only win more games !  CMG

Of course his sins would be forgiven. He already atoned for his offensive wrongdoing. But, the only way UNT beats Navy tomorrow is if Morris runs a 4-down linemen front for the majority of the game, which he has yet to commit to doing.

Side.Show:  I’ve watched all the games so far this year and it seems to me that UNT running either a 4 or a 3 down scheme hasn’t done any good. Everyone seems to run right through or around the defense either way.

I was perusing Abilene Christian's statistics and ran across a few that caught my eye.

    1.  They are allowing 5.6 yards per rushing attempt this year.  Mr's. Adeyi, Johnson, Adaway, etc. could have a big day.

    2.  They are allowing 231 passing yards per game and around a 60% completion percentage.

    3.  They are allowing a total of 458.3 yards of offense per game.

    4.  Their leading rusher is Jermiah Dobbins.  He has gained 303 yards on 53 attempts for a 5.5 yards per carry average.

    5.  Jay'von Sunday is their second leading rusher with 134 yards on 29 attempts.

    6.  Maverick McIvor, transfer from TX Tech, is their leading passer.  His stats are 55-96 for 847 yards with 5 TD's and 1 int.

    7.  McIvor spreads the ball around with five players with between 7 and 9 receptions.  Fourteen players have receptions.

    8.  Their top seven defensive players based on tackles per game are LB's and S's.

    9.  They have two interceptions on the year, both by DB Patrick Jolley.

    10.  Four different players have scored 2 TD's for the Wildcats.

    11.  Their PK has yet to miss on the season.  He is 14-14 on PAT's and 5-5 on FG's with a long of 55 yards.  17 or his 21 kickoffs have resulted in touchbacks.

    12.  Their punter averages 46.78 yards per punt on 18 total punts.

    Good post !  Thanks

  9. The most pathetic, lame, failed attempts at tackling I have seen at North Texas in YEARS. And yes I played the game, I know what it’s like to get rolled up and knocked on your ass going for tackles. But you put your jock strap on the line and tackle the SOB anyway.
