Did anyone else notice that this game was on both ESPNU and ESPN2 for much of the game? At least on Spectrum in Carrollton that's the case.

Glad to see a W! I was worried about the psychology of this team after losing three in a row. They needed a win like this.

That was one of the worst losses I've seen by our guys in several years. MSU has a good team, but NT made way too many turnovers. Rubin is a good #2 guard, but he's not much of a point guard. Anytime your top scorers are also leading the team in turnovers, that's a recipe for frustration.

I've enjoyed watching Scott develop over the past few years, but I would like to see him take a page from the book of TBell and develop a better post-up game. TBell and Perry were our top go-to guys at crunch time in 21-22, and Bell really improved as a go-to offensive presence in the paint that year. Having a strong and more consistent inside threat would be a big help during crunch time of close game, and would open up better shots for Jones and Edwards from the outside.

That was a sickening last two minutes.

One thing I noticed about the scores in this tournament. The three teams North Texas played each had their lowest point production of the tournament in their game against North Texas. That makes me feel good about our defense. Our tempo doesn't look as slow as last year, but it's still a good idea to slow down those teams that like to run.

I've wondered the same. The promo has included McKinney for a few years now, but I don't understand why. As for not tying itself to the university, I chalk it up to the consistently poor marketing this school has exhibited for decades.

North Texas definitely used the strutting eagle before the mid-70's. I know this because somewhere in my family's boxes of old photos, there is one of me in the early 70's wearing a sweatshirt with that NT logo on it. It was a gift from a cousin who attended NTSU from 1970 to 1972.

Funny that he didn't mention OSU going 15-25 from the free throw line. They could've ended it in regulation if they could hit free throws a little better.

It would be really nice to get that average up to around 5k. I wonder how much of a bump we should expect when we move into the AAC? We should be able to get at least 7,500 for a home game against SMU if it's on a weekend.

Sissoko looks quicker than Ousmane to me, and appears to be playing more aggressively of late. I was really hoping that Ousmane would improve that little jump hook he shoots this year, but it looks pretty similar to last year's.

One thing to keep in mind with any remodeling of an existing stadium or arena: If you increase the average width of the seats and armrests, you can decrease seating capacity, but generally increase fan comfort.

I was trying to listen to the game on the radio on my way home half an hour ago on 95.3, and the sound quality was horrendous. It wasn't due to a poor radio signal from 95.3, but sounded like their feed was just a mess. Is there something that can be done to improve this? I've listened to HS football games with more clarity.

With his skill level, it's gotta be more than that. When good players start posting that many goose-eggs, there's either a physical problem, or his head ain't right with ball.
