  1. Well, yes and no. It depends on how much you're offered to leave and how much you like or dislike your current employer and job. As a former EDSer, we used to say that EDS was the best first and third job you'll ever have, because everyone knew that the only way to get what you were worth was to leave. But on the other hand, I've also worked in one place that I liked so much that I turned down an offer of %10-%15 more. But when a person is young and underpaid, they're much more focused on the $$.
  2. That was a good game to watch. Seton Hall was just a little quicker and more aggressive driving to the hoop. That being said, the refs really let the game get too physical at times. I've seen football running backs that couldn't stiff arm as well as some of the Hall guys did on drives.
  3. Just checked Xavier's transfer page, and they have seven (7) players who have entered the transfer portal. Makes one wonder what's going on there.
  4. Nebraska's lack of college basketball success is payment for all the good college baseball they get to see in Omaha!
  5. Unless they already have someone pretty good lined up for the job, this is a dumb move. You don't fire someone who just improved year over year by 10 games. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/smu-mustangs/2024/03/21/smu-basketball-fires-head-coach-rob-lanier-after-two-seasons-reports-say/
  6. Guess we'll find out soon, because it looks like Lanier is out. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/smu-mustangs/2024/03/21/smu-basketball-fires-head-coach-rob-lanier-after-two-seasons-reports-say/
  7. I know enrollment is up over 40,000, but do we really have 40,000 living on campus? Or even coming to campus on a regular basis? I say that because I know we have the unfortunate distinction of being known as a "commuter school".
  8. Was LSU's foot on the line on that last 3 ptr?
  9. Sissoko with the hustle diving on the floor!
  10. The primary reason for the losing streak near the end of the 2018-19 season was an injury to Ryan Woolridge's knee. He was out of the lineup for several of those games, and the games he was in were difficult to watch because it was obvious he was in pain. But he was the team leader and the type of point guard that made the guys around him better.
  11. I would give this team a B to B+. It was a big transition year after losing Perry and Ousmane, and of course a new head coach and staff. The first 1/3 of any college basketball season involves a lot of experimentation by the coaches to try and find out which guys can fill which roles (unless you have all returning starters), and develop a rotation that can win. Unfortunately for this team, the injury bug really screwed with the lineup rotation and a few guys had to fill roles they weren't quite ready for. Hopefully they matured from that experience and will be better players for our team next year.
  12. What really made last year's football season suck was how much of our offense transferred away via the portal after the season ended. But that seems to be how college sports are these days, so we have to deal with it. I hope the basketball guys who can come back do so.
  13. I'm watching on TV, and they showed Scott after he came back to the bench from the tunnel, and he did not look good. It looked to me like he was holding his abdoman a few inches down from the sternum, but not low enough to be the appendix.
  14. Just judging by the stats as I didn't see this game. But looks like the home team officiating may have helped UAB just a bit in this game. Fouls: SMU 26, UAB 16 FT: SMU 8-15, UAB 27-33
  15. Don't forget that loss at Boise State this season when Scott and Jones both fouled out and then we lost at the end.
