It is going to come down to schools who pay the players and the ones that don't one day. It is an arms race that not all teams can not compete in. When this finally happens I think you will see geographic conferences. The rich will continue to pick up players from the non pay conferences. College football is dead and is replaced with semi pro teams. Sad I dont watch the NFL and I find myself watching less college football games these days. I will continue to support the Mean Green.

SL usually won against teams we should beat but fell flat with teams that were equal or a lot better. We had many blowout losses. Our offense keep us in games this year but the DC has to go. If they are asking players to leave they need to show him the door as well. When you are worst in the country I dont see how you will have a great improvement next year.

it is mystery but I don't think SL did a lot of recruiting and Morris started late. I guess this year would give us a better view if we can get players. I would think there will be a lot of Texas players coming into the portal with all the coaching changes happening in the state, I guess we are up to two maybe three after the bowl season is over. Time will tell but I am not holding my breath.

wonder how long before the non power conference start folding up the football programs. We develop good hs players and they get bought and leave us with nothing. A lot cheaper to focus on basketball. I think the big programs need to look among themselves for players. Our players that were bought have not lite the world on fire though some have had solid stats.

A lot of people are system players, they function well in one system but some time when they change to a new system that are not as effective. Air Raid is a system offense. That is how Leach keep it going. He lose a good player and would fill in right behind him with another.

I was watching the highlights from the Tulsa game and it could have been the same highlight from ever game it seems. I am not sure who is out of position or what happens. The play I am talking about is when the other team running backs goes to the outside and there is no one near him. This play has been run over and over and it usually gets large amounts of yards if not a td. I was watching the Tulsa highlight and I am not sure if the de or lb gets sucked into the inside. I was taught a 100 years ago that you dont let the running back get outside instead force to the inside where you have more help. As many times as we have seen it we can never stop it. It usually happens in the first half of the game. I dont know what changes in the second half but the play is not as successful in the second half. Any experts know what is going on when that happens? I dont want to hear from the DC because if he could fix it i would not be asking the question.

FAU has done something most mid majors can't do, Keep their team together and start out the year like they have played together. I think if Tyler would have stayed we would be a better team for it. But money talks and I think that is why there are a lot of upsets early. The teams are heavy in the portals and the teams have to gel together. We were the same way last year. When Kai was playing his first games I thought this guy is not that good. Once the team came together Kai was very good. I am hoping the same for this year. This last few games were disappointing but we have room to turn it around.
