  2. Ross, welcome! I did many jumps off the top bunk of my bed top turnbuckle with my brothers impersonating your dad and your uncles growing up. And nothing shut up a pesky little brother like threatening to give him the Iron Claw. So awesome! And I agree with Stan R -- none of us would be the guys we are today without the early WWF or (in my opinion) the even more-awesome WCCW. My dad, my brothers and I would tune in every Saturday night and watch what went down at the Sportatorium. It's an honor to have you here, Ross.
  3. That revised tag line is a good one!
  4. Look, I grew up a Texas fan and still have some appreciation for them, but I'd buy the heck out of that "Beat Texsa" shirt. I'll get one for every member of my family. Just make sure someone makes on in a size 2T for my toddler son!

  6. That seals the deal. I definitely want it now, because I want to have some fun with that if it happens! I'd be like, "I dunno man . . . your security company sounds really good, but mine comes with UNT season tickets. If you can beat that and get me a voucher for two beers at each game I think we have a deal."
  7. Read through and didn't see Jimmerson's name taken. Is Jimmerson still on the board? If so, I'll adopt him! **EDIT** just re-checked and he's not taken. So, I officially adopt the double-deuce, Antoinne Jimmerson!!
  8. I love that Jub was the first one to jump all over them for it!!
  9. Man, that's inexcusable. Seriously, there are only two explanations as to why North Texas was not mentioned and both of them are bad. They either forgot about us, which is laughable because we were the most successful college team in the Metroplex and won the Bowl literally played about five miles from their headquarters!! Or, they deliberately left us off, which is equally asinine. I hope Jalen Adams puts up better numbers than every name listed in that freaking article.
  10. I'm sorry but I refuse to be intimidated by a team that calls themselves "The Ponies." Seriously, above is the type of mental image I get in my head every time I hear them call themselves that. I'd distance SO FAR from that nickname if I went to SMU. Bahahahaha, I couldn't even say that last sentence with a straight face. I'd NEVER go to SMU, except to watch UNT beat them senseless in person next season.
  11. Scintilla . . . sounds like a stinky Mexican dish. Clearly he's making a comment about peoples' political commentary following a plate of bad Mexican food.
  12. So what if a 34 year-old college student tweets one of his college classmates. That makes him a douchebag? *Ishouldprobablychangemynametoquasioldguystudent*
  13. That goal was pretty freakin' sweet. Just came about 20 minutes later than we would have liked. Here's hoping for one more! EDIT -- DANG, that was close
  14. Not bad. Just need to convince the Mrs. Franchise how bady I want need these chairs.
  15. I'll use the hell out of that thing!
  16. This story is really sad to me. Not because of my past affiliation with TCU, but because of Brandon, himself. I'm a Euless Trinity grad and followed his career pretty closely at Trinity. I was bummed when he made an oral commitment to Oklahoma and was then thrilled that he was staying in Texas and going to TCU on signing day. I wish him the best off the field and hope he gets his life together. He was a special athlete in high school and made some big-time plays for the Trojans, which I got to see regularly. I shot this one, myself. Had it not been for the photographer in my way, it would have been an amazing shot.
  17. Has a very Arena League look to me. I'm kind of with 23 -- I like the colors but the arrangement of everything and the way it's all assembled is odd to me.
  18. It's a shirt idea that plays on "Remember the Alamo" and referencing last season's UTSA loss at "The Apogee." I think it's a great shirt idea and I for one, welcome our new ant overlords.
  19. Feel de riddum! Feel de ride! Get on up! It's bobsled time!!!
  20. That's a big point that I haven't heard mention of, yet. (Granted, haven't listened to much sports radio today, but still) As someone that was once a union worker ages ago, you DO have to pay for this sort of thing. And I'm sure the moment some of these kids start getting billed for their union dues, they're going to sit back and go, "Wait . . . I have to PAY for this?" TINSTAAFL
  21. You're right. My wife's family is all-Aggie. And while I love them and totally appreciate a lot of what they have done for us, man, those Aggies are some freakin' weird people. Not to mention, I went to one of their graduations this past year. Man, they have to have added at LEAST an extra 20 minutes because they yell "Whoop" after everything. I mean come on, it's fun the first 1 or 2 times, but I'd like to get out of here and get a seat at Cheddar's or something! Don't get me wrong, I admire their school spirit. But I think they put something in the water down in Bryan/College Station because even the residents (non students/alumni) living down there get VERY defensive and VERY protective of a school that really acts pretty ridiculous to an outsider. And their all-out obsession with the University of Texas is pretty comical. They have major inferiority complexes. They'll likely never play each other in football again, but you'd think they're scheduled to meet next week. But, maybe it's just because I'm an outsider. Maybe I'm not supposed to get it.
