I like Graham Harrell and his growth potential, but.....

    1. Graham wasn’t ready to be OC when he came to NT.
    2. Graham wasn’t ready to be OC when he went to USC.
    3. Graham isn’t ready for a prime time OC position now.

hello...the USC OC is a "prime time" position.

  2. IMO

dissolve the Big12 into the (4) other P5 conferences with 18 teams each...including Notre Damn. Then have 4 conference championships which leads to the Final Four for National Championship. This equals an 8 team playoff system.

The G5's do the same for a separate National Championship for G5 schools.

No P5 schools should ever play any D2 schools...but P5 & G5 would continue to play each other in D1 play.

Not directed at you, but none of this downplays freaking D-Day.

Everyone knows it was a pivotal moment in a brutal war where the good guys sacrificed so much and won out.

America is freaking great, but you know what, Mason Fine is great, too!

Maybe not America great, but still great.

Also my sister's birthday is 6/6. We just yell at her NO PRESENTS FOR YOU JERK BECAUSE IT DOWNPLAYS HOW MUCH SACRIFICE THIS COUNTRY HAS GIVEN UP.

    Misplaced, misguided, and sanctimonious.

Of effing course we should be commemorating American sacrifices that happened on that specific day, but those exact sacrifices have allowed the rest of the world to keep going and we all appreciate it. Not to mention there were pivotal battles over different continents happening on different dates and different wars.

best answer...thank you Aldo for a moment of clarity & reason.

Rick's post is more about "Rick" than D-Day, Mason Fine or Aldo's sisters birthday.

:sigh: we were doing so well...

agree...our "star spangled flying leek" looks a little forced.

there are better ways to honor the military....fly overs, special thanks over the PA, all military families get FREE-dom seats in the wing-zone, half-time show dedication or time-out recognition for longtime alumni who are veterans.

    and we care because???

because we are fighting for the same kids to play for us.

SMU wins the locker room contest.

I was miffed when our old AD decided to update ours recently...and we went from an engineered maple laminate to anouther engineered maple laminate??

very sterile look with zero "wow" factor...needs more color...it reminds me of a doctors office or an IKEA

    This is just bigotry.

...for those who find "irony" funny.

I think most people could agree that there are lots of good people doing good things for others. I would also think that most prefer the idea of doing these good works for "goodness sake" and without denying science & reason. Liberty U. has had a history of intolerance for others outside of their particular theology.

Denying science that could help or feed others is not a good thing.

personally I wish we were not playing Liberty...and I sure as heck don't want to be in a conference with them.

Only it's not smart to have a disassociation, (athletics wise) with schools you might have a theoretical disagreement with, especially over a debate as old as this.

And by the way, the director of creation studies at Liberty, a guy name Dewitt I believe teaches both philosophies of creation and evolution to allow his students to decide for themselves.

    Rick

In regards to college athletics...I would prefer being associated with schools that use science & reason to unlock some of the mysteries of our world & universe vs schools that perpetuate modern mythology to protect their theology.

schools like Liberty teaching both creationism and evolution as an equal sounds about right...that's funny.

No: I wouldn't want an invite to C-USA for Baylor either right now.

Edit: But for Liberty in particular: I don't think UNT -a public tier one university thanks to its scientific prowess- should be associated with a institution like Liberty. The scientist in me would have a hard time with associating with a place that believes that they are an institution of higher learning but has scarily many people who think evolution did not happen which shows a profound lack of scientific understanding to the point that one has to call it denial. And that is not even to talk about them having the moral failure of hiring all the dirty Baylor administrators.

this...I could not agree more. ✔️

C-USA needs schools that believe in science & reason.

not a fan of either school...too bad one of them had to win.

  9. Just do what the big boys do...use the best logo or brand for certain situations. Two P5 schools that are similar to us in name are:

    1. University of North Carolina: (UNC), (North Carolina), ram & interlocked NC for spirit/sports branding

    2. University of Southern California: (USC), (Southern Cal), Trojan & interlocked SC for spirit/sports branding

University of North Texas: (UNT), (North Texas), eagle & interlocked NT for spirit/sports branding

    That's embarrassing :-(

agree....we have one of the best colors in college football....GREEN....yet we decided to showcase Scandinavian laminate maple?

Somehow....we have managed to make our "new" Maple 2.1 locker room look worse than our old Maple 2.0 locker room...

There is nothing cool or special about this locker room.

It's like we mutated an IKEA bedroom with a CareNow clinic....#thanksourv...money well spent....the student athletes will really dig it!
